How to size for skates
(Images to guide ya )
Wear the type of socks you’ll wear with your boots. Distribute weight evenly before measuring.
On a hard surface, tape a piece of blank paper flat to the floor, with the edge up against the wall. Stand up straight with your foot on the paper. Your heel should be barely touching the wall or not at all. DO NOT push heel into the wall as it will produce incorrect length measurements.
Mark the longest part of your foot (heel-to-toe length) and widest part of your foot on the paper with a pen or pencil. If you can, have someone else trace your foot.
Trace around your whole foot. Make sure your pen is held vertically, not at an angle.
Repeat with the other foot, as the right and left foot may be different sizes.
Use a ruler to measure the heel-to-toe length and width measurement for each foot.
Send me the larger heel to toe and width measurements.

No, you can’t have them! My go-to skates, made from a Nike Zoom boot, a hiking boot sole and heel, Powerdyne plates, and 70mm Kryptonics.
Changed the blue and grey to black and white.

Got a pair of skates where someone had painted the suede white. As a labor of love, almost have all the white gone...stay tuned.

Hi I’m Charlie Zxi, owner of Tattoo Skates. As a skater myself, I have a real passion for skating and I enjoy sharing that passion with everyone who wants to skate!
I’ve been building skates for six years now, and I’ve studied the physics of skating, the materials used and all of the skating trends. I’m a certified skate instructor, so I’m even available for individual or small group lessons as well.
I’ve got a small inventory of quality skates for sale, at fair prices, take a look below to see if anything interests you!
I also sell and design a rear brake system for street skaters who need to be able to stop on a dime when needed
