Mazda Motor Corporation:
‘The name Mazda associated with Ahura Mazda (God of Light in Persia), with the hope that it would brighten the image of these compact vehicles’.
The GE’s registration on Mazda trademark expired in 2000. The modern association of Mazda trademark is split between the Japanese manufacturer where it applies to automobiles (including automobile lights and batteries) and GE for non-automotive uses.

Mazda was a trademarked name registered by General Electric (GE) light bulbs. The company chose the name due to its association with Ahura Mazda, the transcendental and universal God of whose name means light of wisdom in the Avestan language.

What do you think the metal mouth shields in Boris Bidjan Saberi’s designs may represent?
The artist cleared up one potential misunderstanding: Those Hannibal Lecter metal mouth shields are not a statement about freedom of expression!
Actually, it’s all about aesthetics and the complications of technological advancement.
“The main theme is half-human, half-machine,” the designer explained. The collection’s title, Post-Humanism, means that Saberi’s men forge for themselves whatever they might be missing. “It’s about improvisation and things that are self-made and incorporated into the body,” he said. “It’s invasive technology.”
