A few years ago, this little fleet of floating homes dropped the hook in one of the most beautiful anchorages on the planet. 🌴✨

As the sun melted into the Andaman Sea, our Gnomad flotilla settled in for another evening of laughter, sea stories, cold drinks, and the kind of sunsets that make you seriously question your return flight home. 🍹🌅😎

No schedules. No meetings. No traffic.

Just friends, catamarans, warm water, and a front-row seat to Mother Nature showing off. 🌊🐠⛵

🌙✨ Sant’Angelo, Ischia… and one of those evenings that reminds you why we sail. ⛵️🇮🇹

Two weeks ago our Amalfi Flotilla wandered into this little slice of Mediterranean magic. As the sun disappeared and the lights began reflecting across the bay, the whole harbor seemed to slow down. 🌊💙

No schedules. No traffic. No alarms.

Just good friends, warm sea air, a glass of something Italian in hand 🍷🍋, and the realization that life feels a little different when your front yard is a harbor full of boats and your ceiling is a sky full of stars. ✨⚓️

Moments like this are why we keep coming back. Not just for the destinations, but for the memories made along the way.

⛵🌲 Not every great sailing destination sits on an ocean…

Today’s office was beautiful Brandy Creek Marina on Whiskeytown Lake, nestled in the heart of the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. 🏔️💙

Fun fact: Whiskeytown NRA was established under legislation signed by President John F. Kennedy, helping preserve this incredible corner of Northern California for future generations to enjoy. 🇺🇸

Crystal-clear water, mountain views, sailboats at anchor, and enough peace and quiet to make you forget your inbox exists. 😎⚓

Places like this remind us that adventure doesn’t always require crossing an ocean. Sometimes it’s hiding right in your own backyard waiting for you to cast off the lines. 🌊🌲

🍋🥃⛵️ Back in the USA… but part of us is still anchored somewhere off the Amalfi Coast. 🇮🇹🌅

It’s funny how a tiny bottle of limoncello from Mary’s Restaurant in Nerano and a little pirate rum bottle can bring back an entire adventure.

The sunsets. 🌅
The laughter. 😂
The friendships. ❤️
The sailing. ⛵️
The moments that somehow felt like they’d last forever. ✨

These aren’t souvenirs.

They’re reminders of late dinners, sea breezes, incredible people, and the kind of adventures that make ordinary life seem just a little less exciting when you get home. 🌊🍋🥂

For now, we’ll sip the memories and start dreaming about the next horizon.

One of the questions I get all the time is, "What do you do about internet while sailing?"

The answer is simple: the lead boat travels with a portable Starlink antenna. 🌎🚀

While part of me wants to disappear into the magic of places like Sant'Angelo and leave the real world behind, having reliable connectivity means weather updates, navigation planning, flotilla coordination, and the occasional "yes boss, I'm still alive" message. 😂

It's a funny balance. We sail hundreds of miles to escape schedules, notifications, and endless scrolling... then point an antenna at the sky just in case reality needs to find us. 🌊🏝️

The good news? The views are still better than any Zoom background. 😎⛵️

Anchor lights glowing, Positano sparkling, and the sea calm enough to hear your own thoughts 🌙⚓️✨

There’s something quietly magical about seeing your boat resting safely in the bay at night, anchor light shining like a tiny floating lighthouse while the cliffs of Positano glow above the water 🇮🇹⛵️

This is the kind of night that slows time down. Salt air, soft waves, and a flotilla floating beneath a blanket of Italian stars 🌌🌊🍋

Moonlight on the marina, zero alarms, nowhere to rush 🌙⛵️✨

Procida has a way of turning the volume of life down to a whisper. Calm water, quiet masts, soft lights dancing across the harbor… just the kind of night that makes you forget what day it is. 🌌🇮🇹

The flotilla may be over, but part of me is still floating here somewhere between espresso, sea salt, and the gentle creak of dock lines. ⚓️🍋🌊

🏰⚓️ Dropped the hook beside the legendary Aragonese Castle and watched history light up the night. ✨

For over 500 years this fortress has guarded Ischia’s shores, and for one unforgettable evening it became the backdrop to our flotilla adventure. 🌊🇮🇹

The water was calm, the reflections were pure magic, and the stories flowed as easily as the wine. 🍷🌙⛵

Moments like these are why we sail… not just to visit places, but to experience them from a front-row seat on the water.
