🏝️⛵️ BAHAMAS, COVID EDITION! 😎🌊

A little throwback to our Bahamas flotilla out of Marsh Harbour during the COVID days… when the world was a little sideways, travel was complicated, and apparently our solution was:

GET ON A BOAT AND GO! 😂⛵️🍹

We found ourselves a beautiful stretch of sand, dragged this poor little dinghy up onto the beach, and decided that if we were going to be stuck somewhere… this was a pretty damn good place to be stuck. 🏝️☀️

Clear water. Empty beaches. Good friends. Cold drinks. Warm nights.

And that glorious feeling of being somewhere far away from the noise of the rest of the world. 🌎❤️

Looking back, some of the strangest times produced some of the best adventures and memories.

The Gnomad philosophy apparently works in pandemics too:

Find water. Find friends. Find an island. Figure out the rest later. 😂🍹⛵️

🍂☀️ **HELLO, AUTUMN! FROM THE BVI** ⛵🌴

While much of the Northern Hemisphere is getting ready for sweaters, falling leaves, and pumpkin everything… we’re over here remembering **this sunset in the British Virgin Islands in 2025.** 😎🌅

Today is the **Autumn Equinox**, when day and night briefly find a little cosmic balance. ⚖️🌎

And honestly, we think the BVI has a pretty good way of celebrating.

Warm water.
Trade winds.
A couple of sailboats on the horizon.
A rum drink that somehow keeps appearing in your hand. 🍹😂
And another ridiculous sunset reminding you why you came.

At **Gnomad Sailing Adventures**, we don't really believe the changing seasons mean you have to stop chasing summer.

Sometimes you just have to **sail toward it.** 🌊⛵🌴

So here's to shorter days, longer adventures, and finding your own little patch of paradise.

🏴‍☠️⚔️ **THE GREATEST PIRATE & TOGA PARTY IN GREEK SAILING HISTORY!** 🇬🇷🍹⛵️

Today is **National Talk Like a Pirate Day**, so naturally we had to dig into the Gnomad treasure chest for this beauty! 😂🏴‍☠️

Somewhere in Greece, a perfectly respectable flotilla went completely off the rails… and turned into what may have been the **largest Pirate & Toga Party ever assembled on a Greek sailing adventure!** 🇬🇷🔥

Pirates? ✅
Togas? ✅
Masks? ✅
Rum? Absolutely. 🍹😂
A ridiculous number of sailors having way too much fun? **OH, ABSOLUTELY.** 🤘

This is what happens when you put a bunch of adventurous people on boats, give them a few Greek islands to explore, and then tell them there’s a party on the beach.

The result?

**History. Or at least something we’re calling history.** 😂🏴‍☠️

Because Gnomad isn't just about sailing from one beautiful place to another.

It's about the **people you meet, the stories you collect, the sunsets you chase, and the moments that make absolutely no sense until you're there.** 🌅⛵️❤️

So raise yer rum, straighten yer toga, adjust yer pirate hat and prepare to board!

🇮🇹🌊 **SANT’ANGELO, ISCHIA… WE’RE COMING BACK!** ⛵️🍹☀️

This view was captured earlier this year during our Gnomad Sailing Adventures flotilla, and honestly… Sant’Angelo has a way of making you forget what day it is. 😂

Turquoise water. Colorful little houses. Boats bobbing in the bay. Cold drinks. Warm evenings. And absolutely nowhere we needed to be in a hurry. 🇮🇹❤️

We dropped the hook, wandered ashore, soaked up the Italian sunshine, and filed this place firmly under **“Yep… we need to do that again.”** 😎⛵️

So guess what?

**WE’RE GOING BACK IN MAY 2027!** 🇮🇹🔥

More sailing. More exploring. More great food. More questionable amounts of limoncello. 🍋😂

And, of course, more sunsets chased with the Gnomad Tribe. 🌅❤️

🇮🇹❤️ POSITANO FROM THE WATER…

This photo was taken offshore of Positano back in May during our Gnomad Sailing Adventures flotilla. ⛵️🌊☀️

Looking at this view from the water, it’s easy to understand why this place gets under your skin. Those colorful buildings stacked into the cliffs, the crazy mountains rising behind them, the little boats bouncing around the harbor… and that unmistakable Amalfi Coast magic. 🇮🇹😍

Then, on the night of September 12, a fire broke out in the hills above Positano. 🔥🌲 Firefighters, Civil Protection volunteers, and helicopter crews worked together to bring it under control. 🚒🚁❤️

The fire has now been extinguished, and the rockslide it caused on the SS163 Amalfitana has been cleared. The road has reopened and traffic is flowing normally again.

Our thoughts are with the people of Positano, our friends there, and especially the firefighters and volunteers who answered the call. ❤️🇮🇹

We’ve sailed these waters. We’ve dropped the hook here. We’ve wandered those streets, eaten ridiculous amounts of pasta 🍝, and watched the sun disappear behind those mountains.

Positano isn’t just a destination. It’s one of those places that becomes part of your story. ❤️⛵️

Stay strong, Positano.

🇬🇷⚓ HYDRA FLASHBACK! ⚓🇬🇷

A few years back, the G~Man & Sailor Jerry washed ashore on the beautiful island of Hydra, Greece… and somehow managed to look like we actually knew what we were doing. 😂🍹🌊

Hydra has that dangerous combination of ancient stone streets, gorgeous harbor views, good food, cold drinks, and absolutely no reason to hurry anywhere. Basically, a Gnomad-approved formula for trouble… I mean, adventure. 😎⛵️

Looking at this photo and thinking…

WHO WANTS TO GO BACK?! 🇬🇷🔥

Maybe it’s time to get the tribe together, find a couple of boats, and go make some more questionable decisions in the Aegean. 🍻⛵️🌅

🌈 Sometimes the weather gods apologize with a rainbow. ⛵️😂

A little sunshine, a little rain, prayer flags flying, the dinghy ready for action… and a rainbow dropping in to remind us why we do this. 🌧️🌈☀️

Taken during our 2025 Balearic Islands Flotilla, where every day seemed to bring a new anchorage, a new adventure, a few questionable decisions 🍹 and another story worth telling.

This is what Gnomad Sailing Adventures is all about: see the world from the water, find your TRIBE, and enjoy whatever Mother Nature throws at you. 🌍⛵️❤️

🛟⛵ Every sailor has that one moment…

You confidently announce, “I’ll just sort out the safety throw line.” 😎

Thirty seconds later you’re starring in Attack of the Killer Spaghetti! 🍝😂

Apparently, throwable rescue lines have one job… and it’s not staying neatly packed! 🤣 One minute they’re tucked perfectly into the rescue bag, the next they’ve exploded into a fluorescent octopus determined to test your patience. 🐙🟠🟡

The good news? The throw line got repacked and is ready if it’s ever needed. The bad news? I think it won the first round. 😜

It’s a great reminder that safety gear isn’t just something you carry… it’s something you should practice with. Better to untangle it on a calm afternoon than during an emergency! 🛟⚓
