I said my goodbyes. Was my last fishing tournament with the NPFL. What an awesome experience starting back from the inaugural season of 2021. I’ve had so much fun, made incredible friends and memories I’ll never forget! Through this experience, I learned that sometimes when you’re chasing your dream, there’s a point in which you realize it wasn’t your dream after all. I’ve realized, what I enjoy the most out of this experience is just traveling around this great country, meeting people and seeing beautiful places. I have had so much fun making travel videos, sleeping in my hammock in random places and hopefully bringing some inspiration to others. My family has supported me so much throughout this crazy journey. Tournament fishing in this level is tough while raising a family… you miss a lot. When I signed up for this season, I was excited. But between then and the season starting, my career got extremely busy. I spent most of this season on teams meetings and had to take countless phone calls during practice in tournament hours for work. You can’t compete at this level with distractions like that. I even had to miss the New York event because it was just too much time away. I thought about not coming to the last event because my Bass Cat Boats sold quicker than I thought. The buyer was gracious enough to let me use it for one last tournament! So with only a few hours of practice, I rolled out at the last minute, sweat my butt off in a hammock the night before the tournament and rolled into it day one and day two staying locally not wanting to put hours on the motor or hit a stump. I’m so glad I made it out there. Got to say my goodbyes, high-five and hug some good friends. Now, most importantly, I’m home a day early to watch my daughters cheer for the homecoming game! I’m going to continue this adventurous spirit and find new ways to explore, take risks and have fun out in the wild! 😎
