🚨What a weekend for some football!!🚨

🗓️ Saturday night! Under the lights! Our Sanford Spartan 7/8 youth football team takes on the Tripp Tigers!

⏰ Kickoff is 5:00pm with the B game first followed by the A game.

Game will be held at Leavitt High school, 65 Matthews Way, Turner, ME

🗓️Sunday our Sanford Spartans Mites 3/4 and Juniors 5/6 will be battling the York Jr. Wildcats in our first home games of the season!!!

⏰ Kickoff for 3/4 will be at 8:00am with the A game first followed by the B game

⏰ Kickoff for 5/6 will be at 11:00am with the A game first followed by the B game

Both games will be held at our Cobb Stadium!! 🏟️

So bring your friends, bring your family and let’s get 📣LOUD📣 for a weekend full of Spartan football!

SSYAA Basketball is BACK!!!
Registration is officially open and we are excited to be heading back to Nasson Gym for another epic basketball season!
Registration closes on November 27 OR when spots are filled, so do not wait!
We offer sibling discounts AND payment plans!
Tentative Schedule:
Saturday mornings-PreK–1st Grade
Monday/Tuesday-2nd/3rd Grade
Wednesday-4th/5th Grade
Thursday/Friday-6th/7th/8th Grade
Each team will meet one day a week for approximately 90 minutes, including practice followed by a game. Schedule is subject to change based on registration numbers, coaches, and gym availability.
Players in 2nd/3rd Grade through 6th/7th/8th Grade will have placements in December, with the season officially kicking off January 4!
We need coaches! If you are interested in coaching, make sure to select that option when registering your player.
We had an absolute BLAST last year and cannot wait to fill Nasson Gym again this winter!
Spots are limited, so get those players signed up!

What a day for Cheer and Football
A big 7/8 A Game WIN up in Lewiston, tons of grit from our 3/4 and 5/6 football players, and Flag Football representing at Cobb!
And all of our cheerleaders showed UP yesterday! From our littles to our older girls, they brought the energy, smiles, the performances, and ALL that SSYAA spirit to the sidelines!
It was truly awesome to see!!

SSYAA Homecoming Weekend is coming!!
We have a busy but fun filled weekend coming up!
Here is the quick rundown:
Friday October 2-Run out at the High School
All SSYAA Football players from Flag through 7/8 and our cheerleaders are invited to join the high school teams!
Please have athletes with their coaches outside the guest entrance no later than 6:45.
Football: SSYAA jersey or Flag T-shirt
Cheer: Game-day ready in uniform
Athletes in SSYAA gear are FREE-Adults $5
Once athletes leave the field, parents are responsible for meeting their child at the gate closest to the concession building.
Saturday October 3
Flag Football vs. Wells at 9:00 AM at Cobb with our K–2 Cheerleaders!
Sunday October 4
3/4, 5/6 & 7/8 Football are all home at Cobb with our cheer squads!
Player/Cheerleader Posters-examples are shared below. If you ordered one at photos that is what you will hang!
Parents are responsible for hanging them in the designated areas and taking them home after their child’s game. We will have zip ties and scissors available.
Sunday will also have Chuck-a-Duck and special Homecoming concession food.
And please do not forget those volunteer spots to help us make sure the day runs smooth!
