Mix together seltzer water, fresh orange, lemon and lime chunks and chill. Muddle half cup black berries, cherries or raspberries and spoon into the seltzer water. Stir and enjoy!

The melons this summer have been "out of this world"! Hopefully you were able to try the
Santa Clause melon and the orange flesh honeydew refreshers. This weeks flavor packed
water is simple and the fruits are at every market.
You'll need:
1/2 cantaloupe- melon balled
1 cup cherries- pitted (I just cut them in half)
4 chilled glasses
small bucket of ice
pitcher of sparking or filtered water
Fill the glasses with melon and cherries and a little ice. Add water of your choice, sit back and sip. Add a squeeze of lime for a little kick and a wedge for more color.
Serve with popcorn popped in coconut oil and a dash of salt.

This refreshing water is not only tasty, but its quick and easy and always available.
Fill up a large clear glass pitcher with cold filtered water and add:
2 cups of sweet juicy orange wedges
3/4 cup fresh big blueberries
A small had full of bright green fragrant mint leaves
2 cups of ice.
This is always a hit after a long day on the field or a hot day at the beach. I like to serve this with chilled sugar snap peas, (or gram crackers if we're being bad) ENJOY!

If you're exercising in the sun please remember...
• Always wear SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 or more.
• Choose a product with zinc oxide, titanium dioxide or avobenzone (Parsol 1789)
• Reapply every 2 hours.
• Let it absorb 20 minutes before you work out.
• Use an ounce (a shot glass amount). Have a great weekend ☀️

The truth is the soreness is good, you're working your muscles! The soreness is your body laying down new fibers forquick repair. That's what makes you lean and strong (and unfortunately sore)! The degree of soreness depends on a few things:
• Changing up the work out changes up the muscles you use.
• The more fit you are, the more soreness you'll feel.
• The more you put into it, the more sore you'll be.

FIX IT FASTER...
1. Eat bright colored fruits and veggies. They contain the most antioxidants which help prevent muscle damage. Try tart cherries.
2. Get lots of protein. Proteins provide amino acids which are the building blocks needed to repair and rebuild muscle fibers. Try a protein shake after a work out.
3. Caffeine not only can boost your workout but it has been clinically proven to help with soreness.Treat yourself to a little cup of black coffee before you exercise.
4. Roll it out! Use a foam roller, hand roller, lax ball, etc. to rub out the hot spots.

Water hydrates you, prevents fatigue, reduces water retention and risk of constipation. Watermelon and cucumber are also loaded with water. Enjoy an icy cold glass of water stacked with big chunks of watermelon and cucumber. Throw in some blueberries or mint leaves for fun!
