CHANGE A LIFE FOR A LOCAL FAMILY IN NEED 🎄 🎁 ⛄️ I have been fortunate to participate in this program for 7 years and on this day of giving I humbly ask, encourage, and hope that you consider joining me in sponsoring a local family in need this Holiday Season for the SB Pal Winter Wonderland Holiday Dinner. This nonprofit led program is a great opportunity to directly impact and help a family in need - over 130 children are referred and all come from families that could use a helping hand. Starting off Thanksgiving break with some fishing! We are grateful for our volunteers and police officers for always making time to mentor our youth. This is pal!

BE PART OF THE HOLIDAY CHEER! The holidays are near! Join us in celebrating 22 years of spreading holiday cheer to local families who need a little extra help during the holiday season. SBPAL hosts a Winter Wonderland event allowing children to receive gifts from generous sponsors. Winter Wonderland is the perfect opportunity for families to relax, celebrate, and enjoy quality
family time, which is often the greatest gift of all! Families are identified and referred through different community agencies.

Get ready teens, the YARA program is coming to SBPAL. Youth will have the opportunity to receive free job training through a pre-apprenticeship program. A $500,000 investment was secured by Senator Monique Limón to support the YARA program through California PAL and LiUNA.

Today during the California PAL’s Youth Mentoring and Leadership Academy, Officer Adrian Gutierrez received the 2020 Officer of the Year Award along with our Alumni Ariana Flores Vivero who received the 2020 Young Woman of the Year! It has been a long road since the pandemic started, delaying their recognition ceremony. It was incredible to finally come together to celebrate their contribution to our community. Thank you to the Santa Barbara Police Department for their continuing support of our youth!

YLC is an excellent opportunity for students to work together, share ideas, and implement those ideas into actions that have a positive impact on the community. 4 years ago, Max joined the PAL team as a tutor. He has been an amazing tutor and mentor to many of our PAL kids. He has been offered an incredible job opportunity and his last day will be Thursday, July 28. There will be a “see you later” party starting at 4pm. Join us for an ice cream social at PAL to thank him for all the amazing support he has given throughout the years. Thank you Max for being our pal!

This is community. What an incredible experience working with teaching our youth how to do oil changes and basic car maintenance. Looking forward to the next event!

The Community Hot Rod Project is hosting a free car service day. It is open to the public and it is a drop-in service, no appointment required. If your car needs basic maintenance such as: inspections & diagnostics, oil changes, car washes & detailing, tire rotation, etc. please stop by.
