The heart.

That question served as the starting point for writing “I Have A Heart Condition.” The book is a 30-day journey that helps us see what’s really going on beneath the surface, both in the world around us and inside each of us.

We need to talk.

The shooting and death of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy—and a symptom of something much deeper.

This isn’t just about politics.
Or social media.
Or even gun laws.

It’s about the human heart.

We’re infected with something more dangerous than division or disease:
👉 Unhealed anger.
👉 Unchecked hate.
👉 Unrepented sin.

And when anger fuels hate, hate fuels murder.

We are not okay.

We are in the middle of a global pandemic—not just of the body, but of the soul.
We have a spiritual crisis.
We have a compassion crisis.
We have a heart condition.

The prophet Jeremiah said:

“The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it?” — Jeremiah 17:9

This isn’t about left or right.
This is about life or death.

Jesus—our Physician and Healer—is the only one who can perform the surgery our world so desperately needs.

- If you feel the weight of what’s happening…

It’s time we stop treating symptoms and start addressing the root.

35 years ago, God brought Lisa and me together, and every year since has been a testimony of His grace.

Through every season, His faithfulness has been our anchor. Sunshine, thank you for loving me fiercely, forgiving freely, and building a life with me that reflects His goodness.

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Mark 10:9

Here’s to a love story that’s still being written by the Author of life.

I can’t wait for tomorrow.

We’ll gather, we’ll worship, and we’ll make room for God to move.

I’ve Been Pastoring for Over 30 Years — I Just Didn’t Know It

When I was younger, I believed my calling was to be a pastor.
I went to Bible college. I studied theology. I imagined standing in a pulpit.

But my dad once told me:

“Sometimes the church can’t pay you. You’ll need something to fall back on.”

So I did what I thought I had to do—
I worked. I hustled. I started businesses. I sold solar. I provided.

And for years, I wondered if I had missed my calling.

But here’s what I’ve finally come to realize…

I’ve been pastoring all along.
Not in a pulpit.
But in conversations.
In coaching sessions.
In parenting moments.
In helping others hear the voice of God over the noise of the world.

That’s a pastor’s heart.

For 30+ years, I’ve been listening, guiding, comforting, and calling people forward in their purpose.

So today, I’m not stepping into something new.
I’m finally owning what’s always been there.

This is what I was made for:
