Your placement on a team doesn’t define who you are, but it may reveal pieces of your character.
Acceptance of a team placement that may be below your individual capabilities as a cheerleader but you know your presence will make a significant impact on the success of that team overall shows selflessness and a team-first mentality.
Maybe you’re placed on a team that challenges you and pushes you outside your comfort zone, and you choose to rise to the occasion, work hard and show up instead of making excuses as to why you’re incapable, that shows resilience.
You could potentially be disappointed by your placement yet continue showing up with a positive attitude, encouraging your teammates and working hard every day, and that shows maturity.
Seeing you celebrate the success of athletes who received opportunities you hoped for yourself but maybe haven’t had yet, shows humility.
Believe in and trusting your coaches, embracing your role, and focusing on making your team stronger rather than focusing solely on yourself, that shows leadership.
When you continue working toward your goals rather than allowing a placement to determine your worth, it shows perseverance.
The athletes who leave the greatest impact on a program are rarely remembered because of the team they were placed on or the top level they achieved.
They’re remembered because of the way they treated others.
Because they worked hard when nobody was watching.
Because they lifted up their teammates.
Because they chose character over ego.
At the end of the day, team placements reflect where coaches believe an athlete can best contribute to the success of the program and team at this moment in time.
Character is revealed by what happens next.
Being an on the mat cheerleader will only be at MOST 18 years of your life, your character will follow you forever.
Be coachable.
Be humble.
Be resilient.
Be a great teammate.
Those qualities will take you much further than any team placement ever will.💕👑

✨ SAME HEART. NEW NAME. ✨
Today we’re officially introducing our rebrand:
💖 Rebel Athletics Cheer is now Pink Empire Elite Cheer.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. Rebel was a brand we created when our program was primarily recreational cheer and we had no plans of expanding into the all-star world. As our vision, athletes, and goals have grown, we felt it was time for our brand to grow with us.
Another factor was the existence of Rebel Athletic, a well-known cheer apparel company. While we respect their brand, we wanted to create a stronger identity of our own and eliminate confusion between our program and their company.
Most importantly, Pink Empire simply reflects who we are today.
It embodies the confidence, strength, glamour, leadership, teamwork, and championship mindset that define our athletes and our program. It feels like us.
While the name Rebel was never intended to represent rebellion against people, programs, or authority, we also recognize that the word can carry that perception. The truth is, the only things we’ve ever sought to challenge are toxic cheer culture, negativity, exclusion, and the pressures that take away from what this sport should be about.
We’ve always stood for community, opportunity, growth, and creating a place where athletes feel valued, supported, and empowered.
That mission isn’t changing.
Our name is changing.
Our vision is growing.
Our future is bright.
Welcome to the next chapter.
👑 Welcome to Pink Empire Elite Cheer. 💖

👑 WHY WE KEEP PRACTICES OPEN 👑
One thing that Rebel does different is we keep our practices open to parents.
We do this because we believe trust matters.
We want parents to see the coaching, the corrections, the progress, the victories, and the hard work that goes into building a team. We have nothing to hide, and we love allowing families to be part of the journey.
Our decision to keep practices open isn’t a judgment of programs that choose differently. Different programs have different philosophies, and that’s okay. This is simply one of the ways we choose to build trust, connection, and transparency with the families we serve.
But something many people don’t realize is that open practices only work when healthy boundaries exist.
Our athletes deserve a space where they can learn without feeling judged and grow without comparison.
They deserve to make mistakes without hearing commentary from the sidelines.
They deserve the opportunity to struggle, gain confidence, and trust their coaches without feeling like every correction, placement, or decision is being analyzed by the other adults around them.
Confidence is fragile, especially in children.
One comment.
One comparison.
One conversation overheard between adults.
Sometimes that’s all it takes to make a child question themselves.
That’s why, while our doors are open, our expectations are clear.
We ask parents to support, encourage, and trust the process.
Not because we’re trying to control anyone.
But because we’re trying to protect the environment we’re building for ALL of our athletes.
Open practices are a privilege that allow families to be involved.
Boundaries are what allow that privilege to exist.
At the end of the day, every decision we make comes back to one question:
“Does this help our athletes grow?”
If the answer is yes, we’ll continue to protect it. 🩷👑

There’s just something so special about this sport. 🖤
The friendships.
The confidence it builds.
The tiny moments nobody else notices, like an athlete finally getting a skill they’ve worked so hard for, or seeing a shy child slowly come out of their shell and start believing in themselves.
Cheerleading is about giving kids a place to belong, a place to grow, and people who believe in them.
One of the biggest blessings of my life has been getting to pour into athletes and watch them become stronger, more confident, and more resilient year after year.
We choose kindness, encouragement.
and building kids up.
I’ll always believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience all-star cheerleading, regardless of their background or financial situation.
So thankful God allowed cheerleading to become such a huge part of my life and purpose. ✨

‼️ ALL STAR SCORING EDUCATION SERIES ‼️
Part 1: “Majority, Most & Max”
One thing that can be confusing for newer all star families is hearing terms like “majority,” “most,” and “max” on a scoresheet, especially in tumbling and jump quantity categories. So let’s simplify it 👇
At The Open Championship (the track Rebels competes on), teams are evaluated on the NUMBER OF CUMULATIVE PASSES completed throughout the routine based on team size.
✨ IMPORTANT:
These numbers do NOT mean every athlete must throw the skill at the same time.
In many categories, these are cumulative passes performed throughout the routine and they do NOT need to be synchronized.
✨ MAJORITY
A team completes the number of passes required to reach the “majority” quantity range.
Example:
A team of 16 athletes would need at least 6 cumulative passes to reach majority credit.
Those passes do NOT have to be done by 6 different athletes and do not have to happen simultaneously.
✨ MOST
A team completes the number of passes required to reach the “most” quantity range.
Example:
A team of 16 athletes would need at least 8 cumulative passes to reach most credit.
✨ MAX
A team completes the highest quantity requirement available for their team size.
Example:
A team of 16 athletes would need at least 12 cumulative passes to reach max credit.
This does NOT mean all 16 athletes must tumble.
💎 The ONLY time 100% participation is required to hit MAX quantity is on teams with fewer than 7 athletes.
➡️ All star scoring is layered and complex, but hopefully this helps newer families understand what these terms ACTUALLY mean on the scoresheet! 💎
