Above And Beyond Timing

My HS teammates and I had some memories of crazy races in the rain. As a coach, my athletes and I had some fun memories of runs in the rain. Today, as a timer I got to see a Bishop Chatard and Guerin brave the rain and I'm sure it will be a memory maker. As proof that tough runners can beat tough conditions, Julia Score set a new school record 💪

Busy time of year as we get ready for the spring season. As is our routine, we have spent a lot of time this offseason to improve our process and there are some changes for this year that we are excited about.

1) We are happy to continue our work with the team at FloSports and MileSplit Indiana. They have been important partners in building a customized entry and results process for Indiana's growing Unified Track and Field program, and the IPS Athletics Middle School series. We are excited to continue developing the process for for their Spring Games. We are also happy to have MileSplit as the Indiana High School platform for registration and results beginning this spring.

2) We have a more streamlined process to submit your event if you would like us to cover something. Go to www.abtiming.com and find the appropriate link on our homepage to fill out the correct form for your event type (Track Meet, Road Race, or XC race). To confirm if your event is scheduled properly, go to www.abtiming.com/upcoming If it is listed there, then we have it on our internal calendar and have one of our team assigned to cover it.

3) Our billing and invoicing process should also be much more efficient this season. We know event hosts have expense reports and would like to get those things finalized, so we will do our best to get those out to you promptly with our new process.

4) All timers on our regular rotation are now set up with integrated clocks for the finish line, and are set up to push live track results.

5) While we provide live results for all track events, we are beginning to integrate tablets for field events so those results can also be pushed live as they are happening. The handful of our team that is set up for that will be offering that at no additional charge for this season, as we work out any kinks in the process. We want to make sure we have a smooth system established before we would begin adding any additional fee for that service and equipment.

B-Town Turkey Trot The B-Town Turkey Trot is on Thursday November 27, 2025.

Congratulations to athletes who have earned a spot at the Hoosier State Relays. As the indoor season is culminating with that event, we have been busy prepping for the rapidly approaching outdoor season.

After some careful consideration and some input from participating schools, the good folks at New Albany high School have decided to continue with the Hoosier South relays today as planned.

Host schools, please check your schedule with what is showing there to make sure dates and start times are still accurate.
Over 250 events in this spring's calendar and still some trickling in. We still have some wiggle room to schedule coverage but we are filling up on a number of dates. Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any change requests.

Outdoor meet registration will be run through MileSplit, and those should start populating in our calendar over the next week or so.

Bib pickup is happening now, for the 2024 Dash 4 Shelter. This race is raising funds for Wheeler Mission—Bloomington, to help them do the important work they do for many people and families in our community.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can still get registered and come out tomorrow morning. Program starts at 9:30, race starts at 10:30.

Dash 4 Shelter The Dash 4 Shelter is on Saturday December 7, 2024. It includes the following events: 5K Walk/Run and Virtual 5K.

We have teams set up for a couple of turkey trots this year. We have a crew down at Bedford for the Becky's Place Run for Hope and we have one in Bloomington for the B-Town Turkey Trot.

Packet pickup for the one in Bedford is today, starting at noon. Already looking at over a couple hundred people registered there. So if you're in the Bedford area and want to join there, the link to register is on our website.

Packet pickup for the B-Town Turkey Trot was this morning from 9:00 to 11:00, and a second round happening from 4:00 to 6:00. You can still register online, but you better hurry. Over 500 have already picked up bibs and we are approaching 1,000 registrations... With 1200 bibs on hand, this one looks like we might be cutting it close on those.
