Meet Stefi. Stefi is a passionate dancer who works hard to take care of her body and use her gift of expressing herself on stage. She started dancing when she was 5 years old, and over the years she has fallen in love with the process of what it takes to be a strong, healthy and dedicated dancer.

But it hasn’t always been easy.

Her first ankle surgery was in November of 2023 to repair complete tares of the ATF and CF ligaments. She underwent a Brostrom – Gould procedure to replace the torn ligaments with artificial ligaments.

Stefi had a second ankle surgery about a year later on the same ligaments, and during the procedure the surgeon found separation between the tibia and fibula bones at the ankle joint.

The road to full recovery was long and extensive but with her determination fueled by the fire in her heart to get back out on the stage, Stefi has progressed leaps and bounds!

As a dancer, balance, flexibility and strength is crucial. When Stefi is in here, Gabby incorporates sport-specific exercises that recruit the small muscle fibers to stabilize her ankles and low back. Stefi has also been trained with our BRF cuffs to improve muscle hypertrophy and strength. Gabby uses StemWave and PEMF every session to reduce inflammation and stimulate healing deep in the cellular level to the injured areas and supporting joints.

We are so proud of Stefi and her hard work! And we are incredibly grateful she made her way to AthletePRO! 💫

“Working with the team at AthletePro enhanced my dancing abilities. And when I got injured, they provided all the tools and support I needed to get back to competitive dance as quickly and as safely as possible.”
-Stefani S.

Meet Liam. Liam is one of our dedicated youth athletes who came to us six weeks post-op from a medial patella femoral ligament reconstruction. (MPFL) He’s been coming in to see Frank 2x’s a week for almost 8 weeks now and is absolutely crushing it!! 🙌 Over the course of time, Frank has been doing Stem Wave, (stimulates healing deep into the tissue, using sound waves) PEMF, (stimulates healing on a cellular level, recharges the mitochondria of the cell to function optimally and decreases inflammation while getting deep into the tissue for quicker and more lasting results.) And the use of BFR and MaxForce has enabled Liam gain muscle like crazy! 🤩
Check out Liam’s progress: first picture is right after his surgery at the end of September. Then watch him use his power and strength as he pulls Frank down the turf! Liam is a rock star and we are so happy to be helping him on his journey back to the field and beyond! ⚽️

💥 Tip Tuesday: Prevent Injuries Before They Happen! 💥

You don’t have to be a professional athlete to know that staying injury-free is key to staying active and performing at your best. Here’s your game-changing tip:

🔑 Key to Injury Prevention: Proper Movement Mechanics!

Whether you’re running, lifting, or playing your favorite sport, correct form is your body’s best defense against injuries. 👟

✅ Tip #1: Perfect Your Posture
Bad posture during exercise or sport can lead to stress on joints and muscles, increasing injury risk. Focus on keeping your core engaged, shoulders back, and alignment in check to avoid unnecessary strain. 🧍‍♂️

✅ Tip #2: Don’t Skip Mobility Work
Mobility exercises (think hip rotations, ankle rolls, and shoulder stretches) are crucial for joint health and movement efficiency. More range = less risk! 🔄

✅ Tip #3: Rest is Key!
Overtraining can lead to overuse injuries. Make sure you’re giving your body the recovery it needs! Sleep, hydration, and nutrition help repair muscles and restore energy. 🛌

🔥 Pro Tip: Prevention is always better than recovery! Incorporate these habits into your routine to stay healthy, avoid setbacks, and keep performing at your peak.
