Good luck to Sophia, Claire, Hayden, and Kayla as they represent the Firecrackers at the Cooperstown All-Ripken Games!

For four days, they’ll compete alongside players from across the Northeast and Midwest, getting matched up with new teammates and taking on some great competition.

The 2026-27 Firecrackers roster is set.

What started as a strong returning core has become a roster we’re incredibly excited about.

This group is built with competitors. Pitchers who attack the zone. Defenders who can make plays all over the field. Hitters who can manufacture runs or change a game with one swing. Most importantly, young women who love to compete and are committed to getting better every day.

We are thrilled to welcome Rylee Sanders, Evie Hamel, and Basil Scotland to the Firecrackers family. Each fills an important need and makes us a better ball club.

To our returning players, thank you for believing in what we’re building. To our new families, welcome. We’re excited to get to work.

2026-27 Firecrackers Roster

Please join us in welcoming Basil Scotland to the Firecrackers family!

Basil joins the Firecrackers from the Saratoga Thunder organization and attends Saratoga Springs Middle School. A member of the Class of 2031, Basil is an outstanding athlete whose versatility and physical tools immediately strengthen our roster.

Primarily a corner infielder, Basil has the athleticism to contribute in the outfield as well, giving us valuable flexibility on the defensive side of the game. She brings a strong arm, a powerful bat, and the ability to impact a game on both offense and defense.

What stood out most throughout the process was Basil’s athleticism and upside. She has the physical tools, work ethic, and competitive drive that fit exactly what we look for in a Firecrackers player. Her ability to contribute in multiple roles makes her an exciting addition to an already talented roster.

We are incredibly grateful that Basil and her family have chosen to join the Firecrackers. We cannot wait to watch her continue to develop, compete, and help us build something special.

ONE SPOT REMAINS.

Over the past several days, we’ve filled two important pieces of our roster, adding a dynamic leadoff slapper and a pitcher. Both are outstanding hitters who will immediately strengthen our lineup.

That leaves one final opening for the right player.

We’re looking for a true middle-of-the-order impact bat. A player who can drive in runs, hit for power, and change the game offensively. Defensive versatility is a major plus.

We have assembled an extremely talented roster, and we’re looking for one last player who can help take our lineup to another level.

Please join us in welcoming Evie Hamel to the Firecrackers family!

Evie joins the Firecrackers from the Glens Falls Titans and attends Glens Falls High School. A member of the Class of 2030, she earned a spot on the Glens Falls High School JV softball team as an eighth grader, demonstrating her ability to compete against older players well ahead of her peers. That early success reflects the talent, maturity, and work ethic she brings to our program.

Evie fills one of the biggest needs on our roster. She is a true left-handed leadoff hitter with the ability to both slap and drive the ball with authority, making her a dynamic threat every time she steps into the batter's box. Defensively, she will anchor center field, where her outstanding ball tracking, strong arm, athleticism, and fundamentally sound footwork allow her to cover a tremendous amount of ground.

From the moment we evaluated Evie, it was clear she was exactly the type of player we wanted to add to this team. She brings versatility, confidence, and a competitive mindset that align perfectly with the culture we continue to build. Her ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball makes her an exciting addition to an already talented roster.

Adding Evie fills two major needs for our team by strengthening both center field and the top of our lineup. We are incredibly grateful that Evie and her family have chosen to join the Firecrackers, and we cannot wait to watch her continue to develop while helping us compete at the highest level.

Please join us in welcoming Rylee Sanders to the Firecrackers family!

Rylee joins us from the Duanesburg Cyclones and attends Duanesburg High School. She is an outstanding athlete whose versatility, competitiveness, and work ethic make her a tremendous addition to our program.

Primarily a pitcher and infielder, Rylee has the athleticism and softball IQ to play virtually anywhere on the field. At the plate, she is an impact hitter capable of changing a game with one swing. She fills multiple needs for our roster and immediately makes us a stronger, more complete team.

Rylee is also no stranger to the Firecrackers. She has previously guest played with us on two occasions—once this past fall and again this summer. During both opportunities, she fit seamlessly into our culture, competed at a high level, and showed us exactly the kind of teammate and competitor she is.

We are incredibly grateful that Rylee and her family have chosen to continue their softball journey with the Firecrackers. She checks multiple boxes for our program, but more importantly, she is a tremendous fit for the culture we are continuing to build.
