Big announcement for all of the Athena’s out there!
Alright, ladies, it seems our journey to continually prove our worth is far from over. With the removal of DEI, the military has wiped out ALL content that highlights women and minorities, which feels like a significant step backward. What are other corporations doing to dismantle the progress we've fought so hard for?
Now, more than ever, setting the example is crucial! And I'm here to help you do just that! Join me and Ivan F. Ingraham Consulting for an empowering 2-day virtual workshop 7-8 May 2025 that will ensure you stay at the forefront. Let's continue to lead with strength and resilience!

I am very big on personal accountability. Being the person you want to work with is a guiding principle that encourages individuals to embody the qualities and behaviors they value in their colleagues.
So, what does this mean?
1. Do you Lead by Example? Demonstrate the work ethic, integrity, and professionalism you expect from others.
2. Do you Cultivate Positivity? Foster a positive attitude and approach challenges with optimism. Positivity can be contagious and helps create a more enjoyable and productive work environment.
3. Do you Practice Empathy? Show understanding and compassion towards your colleagues. Being empathetic helps build strong, trusting relationships and encourages open communication.
4. Do you Communicate Effectively? Be clear, concise, and considerate in your communication. Good communicators listen actively and ensure that everyone feels heard and understood.
5. Are you Reliable and Accountable? Follow through on your commitments and take responsibility for your actions. Reliability builds trust and respect among team members.
"Be the person you want to work with" is more than just a mantra—it's a call to action. Start today by identifying one quality you admire in others and consciously incorporate it into your daily interactions. Whether it's being a better listener, showing appreciation, or fostering collaboration, take that first step. Encourage your colleagues to do the same, and watch as your workplace transforms into a more positive and productive environment.
Remember, change begins with you—lead by example and inspire those around you to follow. Let's build the kind of workplace where everyone thrives!

Do you have a mentor?
I recently caught up with a dear friend who’s been making incredible strides in her career. It’s inspiring to see how far she’s come, especially knowing she had to rebuild her life from the ground up after some tough times. Curious and eager to learn from her journey, I asked what or who had been instrumental in her success. She shared that having supportive mentors made all the difference, guiding her through challenges and helping her grow.
It made me realize how mentorship is a powerful yet often overlooked resource. I wonder, do you have someone in your corner to guide and support you? If not, maybe it’s time to seek out a mentor who can help you on your journey.

Women continue to face a double standard in the workplace!
When we hear “you’re too aggressive,” it really means we’re assertive.
When someone says “you’re too bossy,” it reflects our confidence in leadership.
This pattern needs to change!
Stand up. Create awareness. Demand better. Together, we can challenge double standards and create workplaces where women thrive.
Message me at [email protected], and we can talk about it!
Why we urgently need to dismantle the leadership double standard
Eliminate the double standard and commit to actionable steps that ensure every leader has the opportunity to excel and contribute.

I had the honor, the pleasure, the absolute once in a lifetime opportunity to speak to 90 Enlisted Leaders from 24 NATO countries today about Leadership and Organizational Culture during the NATO JEL/SEL Summit! I was absolutely impressed with the interactions, comments, and questions that were presented by all of the attendees. We’re on to something here!

"The ability to see the world through the eyes of another person seems supernatural, but it is a part of the human condition. Some of us, however, do this better than others and know to put this skill to work for to benefit the business, themselves, and the other person." https://bit.ly/3Bt0nM2
