🏈🔥 The future of girls flag football in Savannah was on full display this weekend.

Calvary Day School battled through the heat, made big plays on defense and defeated Richmond Hill to capture the Summer Sizzler championship.

But this weekend felt bigger than just one trophy.

College coaches lined the sidelines.
Local athletes kept making plays.
And the sport continues to explode across the Coastal Empire.

One Cavalier came away with four interceptions in the championship game while the Cavaliers showed toughness, energy and championship culture all weekend long.

This sport is growing fast around Savannah… and you can feel it.

From GHSA state champs a few years ago… to now competing against some of the top teams in the country.

Savannah-area flag football keeps getting bigger — and Calvary is right in the middle of it.

Congratulations to Calvary Day graduate (‘26) Ethan Cohen on winning the Men’s Raw Sub-Junior 93kg National Championship in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cohen set a new personal best of 1,681 pounds across squat (634lbs), bench (408lbs), and deadlift (639lbs) en route to the title.

Cohen will now compete at the World Powerlifting Championships in Sun City, South Africa this August. Good luck, Ethan!
