Exactly four weeks from today, Enmarket Arena will be backed with thousands of screaming fans as the Ghost Pirates take on the Norfolk Admirals on Opening Night of the 2026-2027 season!

#28 Tristan Amonte re-signed for the 2026-2027 season after playing in 32 regular season and two playoff games for Savannah last season! He scored 7 goals, had 7 assists and 10 PIM in those contests last year.

Matyas Man has signed a two way deal with Charlotte. The Czech defenseman is 6’5”. 220 pounds and making the jump from the WHL, so he’s very likely to spend some time in Savannah.

The Checkers have signed defenseman Matyas Man to a one-year, two-way AHL contract.

After eleven seasons of NHL hockey, Keith Kinkaid played his last full season of professional hockey for the Savannah Ghost Pirates while signed to a Charlotte Checkers contract.

Kinkaid played 32 games and posted a .893 SV% and 3.17 GAA for Savannah!

Schwindt, Black and Gerasimyuk are on Panthers contracts. Mastrosimone is on a Checkers contract.

Opening night is THIRTY ONE days away!

G Michael Simpson played for the Savannah Ghost Pirates during the first half of the 2025-2026 season where he played in 10 games, posted a .909 SV% and 2.63 GAA. He sustained an injury in late December before being released by the Charlotte Checkers to go to college and suit up for the Providence Friars. Since then, he has signed with and enrolled at the University of New Hampshire where he’s expected to play the 2026-2027 season!
