USA BMX continues to monitor the ever-evolving situation associated with the COVID-19 outbreak. Currently, there is no plan to cancel races or practices either locally or nationally. However, we will be monitoring the directives of local, state and federal authorities for direction

As with everything we do within our organization, safety remains a priority for our BMX family and staff. Our intention is to provide information that will help mitigate the negative impacts of COVID-19, including both the fear of contracting the virus, as well as its spread.

We encourage all of the BMX community to follow the guidelines set forth by their health officials, but we are also suggesting the following steps to stay healthy:

· If you are sick please stay home. Fever free for 24 hours before returning to the track.

· We are encouraging our tracks and national event hosts to add portable hand sanitizing stations and/or hand washing stations. The use of hand sanitizers is helpful, but washing your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds is most effective.

· We are asking tracks to suspend the use of shared or loaner helmets, and encourage their riders to wear gloves.

· Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash immediately.

· Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

· Refrain from handshaking and high fives. Let’s fist bump or bump elbows instead

· Get good rest, hydrate and eat well.

If new information indicates a threat or exposure of the virus in a specific market, USA BMX will decide at that time regarding cancellation or postponement.

For more information on the COVID-19 and ways to protect your safety, please visit the CDC website below.

#MembershipMonday brought to you by J&R Bicycles is headed to MA-01 for the 10 year old with TWO district #1's. Breton Provencal, the Tri-City BMX Track local, has been racing for the past 7 years with both his Mom and Dad by his side on the track! We asked Breton what advice he had for his fellow racers, he had this to say, "Work hard, never give up, and remember to always have fun!"

We are excited to get the season started! With our big plans for this season we have started working at the track.

Please join us for our first work party on Thursday 3/5 4p-6p. We will be spreading stone for the new shed and moving some downed trees. As always this is weather dependent and we will confirm on Thursday of any changes if needed.

[02/29/20]   Dear Tri-City BMX Community Members,

We would like to apologize to everyone. We had intended to use today as the Leap Of kindness day and setup a GoFundMe page. It had appeared that our GoFundMe was live so we blasted it out on social media. Unfortunately, due to some unknown circumstances and requirements about setting a non-profit GoFundMe vs. a regular GoFundMe we were not able to go live with our charity event today. But will try again in the near future!

Although we feel a little defeated as no one likes "losing" we did take one positive away. In the short time that the link was posted the GoFundMe page had hundreds of visits. As always we want to thank everyone for their amazing support and dedication to the sport and Tri-City BMX.

Thank you,

Tri-City BMX Board

With the first 50 degree day of 2020 we took full advantage of it! We will be welcoming a new shed for our 2020 season. Today we demoed the old one. Stay tune for some work parties as the weather improves.

We still have some FREE valentines. Let us know if you would like some!
