Calling all Fort Hardy Park patrons! There are dog waste stations positioned all around the park for your convenience, but you must grab a bag, scoop the p**p, and deposit it in the receptacle so our kids on the fields don't step in it! 💩

In addition to the one you see here on Schuylerville beach by the river's edge, you can find these handy waste stations near the back ballfield fenceline, and one along the Empire State Trail by the Old Canal Towpath intersection.

They are well-maintained, thanks to the Village Of Schuylerville DPW, so please use these valuable resources and pick up after your pets - or a neighbors' dogs so that we may all enjoy this valuable greenspace together. 🍃🐶

We'll be gathering together to learn about (and craft with!) natural elements harvested from the park itself - a unique and fun way to experience your local landscape - at a program made possible by a grant from the Common Roots Foundation

Sharing our appreciation for New York's birds

New addition to the NYS Birding Trail list!

Fort Hardy Park & Old Champlain Canal Towpath have officially been added to the NYS Birding Trail list! Managed by the Village of Schuylerville and Friends of Fort Hardy Park, this site offers the benefits of a community park with great access to the Hudson River and the Old Champlain Canal Towpath.

We encourage you to explore and enjoy this historic area, being mindful of the natural environment and local community. This is an easily accessible trail, with flat surfaces making it accessible for all skill levels and abilities. You just might see some fish-loving birds, like eagles or osprey!

Got an urge for some evening yoga by the river? You're in luck! Loretta's Tomes & Tealeaves is bringing two special Yoga in the Park sessions to Fort Hardy Park in Schuylerville.

Bring your mat and water bottle, and meet us at the Schuylerville Beach, 3 Ferry St., at 5 p.m. this Friday, August 21st, and on Monday, August 24th, to ease your way into the busy fall season.

All donations will be collected the day of the event. 100% of proceeds are used for the care and improvement of the park.
