In northwest Saudi Arabia, a mountain known as Jebel al-Lawz has drawn growing attention from those who believe it may be the true location of Mount Sinai.
And the details are hard to ignore.
At the top of the mountain, the summit appears darkened and scorched — a striking visual that many connect to Exodus 19:18, where Scripture says the Lord descended on Mount Sinai in fire and the mountain was covered in smoke.
At the base of the mountain, large boundary stones can be seen, which some believe align with God’s command in Exodus 19:12 to set limits around the mountain so the people would not come near.
Nearby, there is also a stone structure that some researchers believe could be connected to the altar mentioned during the golden calf rebellion in Exodus 32.
Even more compelling are the carvings etched into the surrounding stones — images that resemble Egyptian-style cattle. That detail matters because cattle imagery was not native to that region in the same way it was tied to Egyptian worship, making some believe these carvings may connect directly to the golden calf idol made by the Israelites after leaving Egypt.
And today, the site remains fenced off, guarded, and restricted from public access.
Warning signs surround the area. Entry is tightly controlled. The mountain is not treated like an ordinary tourist site.
Now, whether Jebel al-Lawz is definitively Mount Sinai is still debated.
But when you look at the scorched summit, the boundary markers, the altar-like stone structure, the Egyptian-style cattle carvings, and the restricted access, it becomes harder to brush it all aside as simple coincidence.
For many, this mountain stands as a powerful reminder that the Bible is not just a book of spiritual ideas.
It is rooted in real places, real history, and evidence that still speaks.

Reports from Christian ministries suggest that a dramatic spiritual shift is taking place in Iran.
In recent years, some ministries have claimed that tens of thousands of Iran’s mosques have closed or fallen into disuse, often pointing to low attendance and growing disillusionment among the Iranian people. Many Iranians have grown weary under the weight of economic hardship, government oppression, and the harsh enforcement of Islamic law — especially after the brutal crackdowns on women protesting hijab laws.
But in the middle of that darkness, something powerful appears to be happening.
Many Iranians are reportedly turning away from the state-sponsored version of Islam and becoming open to the message of Jesus Christ. Estimates vary widely, with some mission groups suggesting the number of Iranian believers may now range from hundreds of thousands to several million.
And one of the most remarkable parts of these testimonies is how often they include encounters with Jesus through dreams and visions.
Again and again, Iranians have shared stories of supernatural experiences that awakened a hunger for truth. These encounters often led them to underground house churches, Christian satellite broadcasts, or believers who could explain the gospel to them more clearly.
And this is not happening in a place where faith in Christ is easy.
For Muslims in Iran, converting to Christianity can bring serious consequences — imprisonment, persecution, family rejection, and even the threat of death. Yet despite the danger, Iran’s underground church continues to grow.
Believers there testify that answered prayer, the kindness of Christians, and personal encounters with the living Christ played a major role in their journey to faith.
So Christians, let us not watch from a distance.
Let us pray.
Pray for Iran’s hidden believers.
Pray for courage in the underground church.
Pray for protection over new converts.
Pray for the gospel to continue spreading in places where public worship is dangerous.
Pray for ministries equipping believers, discipling new Christians, and helping persecuted followers of Jesus when they need to escape danger.
The exact numbers are difficult to verify in a closed and heavily monitored nation. But many credible mission sources agree on this:
God is moving in Iran.
And in a place where the gospel is resisted by earthly powers, Jesus is still revealing Himself, still drawing people to truth, and still building His Church.

, a senior at Palmdale High School, experienced a profound transformation after a life of rebellion and substance abuse. Raised in a troubled environment, his life changed when he reluctantly attended church with his mother, who demanded his attendance as a condition for living in her house. Initially, he resisted, sitting in what he now calls ‘backslider lane’, but the consistent preaching began to break through his hardened heart. After attending a men’s discipleship seminar, he felt God urging him, ‘It’s either now or never.’ He surrendered his life to Christ, which ignited a passion for evangelism. During his senior year, Abraham boldly shared the Gospel with his classmates, teachers, and even janitors. Starting with a small Bible study group, his efforts led to 895 students accepting Christ by the end of the school year. Abraham’s journey from a backslidden pothead to a fervent evangelist demonstrates the transformative power of God’s grace and the impact of one obedient heart.
