NASCAR’s first openly gay driver, Devon Rouse, is excited to announce a sponsor/partnership with GayRealEstate.com. Jeff Hammerberg, GayRealEstate.com’s CEO is proud to be a part of
Devon Rouse Racing. Gay Real Estate is no stranger to the motorsports world as they are also a proud sponsor and partner of Richard Morris Racing (richardmorrisracing.com).

“I’m very excited to have GayRealEstate.com as a partner and sponsor. For over 25 years they have fought and continue to fight for equality in the process of homeownership; buying, selling, and relocation. All this while continuing to provide monthly financial assistance to over 21 National LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations supporting our LGBTQ+ community at large. I’m very excited to be working with Jeff and GayRealEstate.com as a sponsor for 2022 and future years to come!” - Devon Rouse

Devon Rouse competes in the ARCA Menards Series & NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. You can watch him race this year as both series are broadcasted live on MAVTV or FoxSports.

“I’m very excited for Devon and wishing him all the best! As we continue to bring LGBTQ+awareness into the motorsports community. I’m happy to be a sponsor and hope to grow with
Devon and NASCAR into the future!” - Jeff Hammerberg.

Compete Sports Diversity shares tips on building team identity through “💪MMMOTIVATION💪” (🙋‍♀️who remembers that from cheer camp?) and reminds us that “each team is more than a name, colors and a logo. The “team” is represented by all the athletes on the field, the coaches who guide the athletes, the physical location of the team, fans who support the team, the history of the team, and even the culture that has emerged within the team such as team chants, rituals and traditions.”

What are some ways that YOUR team fosters “team identity?”

Inner West Roller Derby League coming in with an important message! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🛼

As a club with a long history of welcoming trans athletes, the Inner West Roller Derby community has responded to the recent controversy regarding trans athletes in womens’ sport.

Inner West Roller Derby President Rainbow Smash said today,
“Roller Derby has led the way with a longstanding inclusion of gender diversity. Roller derby also leads the way in standing up for and along side our gender diverse and trans players.”
“We are distressed to hear the assertion that trans athletes are a threat to women and girls. Trans athletes are our teammates. We train with them, we play with them, we welcome them”.
“What is a threat to women and girls is the policing of gender by people determined to drive a wedge between diverse and supportive communities of players.”

Australian roller derby clubs abide by the Sport Australia policy that:
- All Australians should have the opportunity to be involved in sport and physical activity, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ability, cultural background or ethnicity.

Australian Roller Derby has been guided by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (the international peak body) position that
- An individual who identifies as a trans woman, intersex woman, and/or gender expansive may skate with a WFTDA charter team if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify.

“This irresponsible campaign of fear is putting people we love at risk. Sport is a wonderful aid to wellbeing for marginalised and vulnerable people. We will not let them take it away”.

“Women athletes differ in age, size, health status, strength and skill. Gender expansive inclusion recognises that the diversity of athletes comes in many forms and adds to the richness of our game.”
