Shout out to one of my clients, Holly for hitting a new PR (personal record) of 135lbs and officially squatting two 45lbs plates!

Watching her go from just squatting the bar a couple months ago has been a pleasure! I canโ€™t wait to see where we go from here!

Next goal will be her body weight plus 1/2. Then 2x her body weight ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

While squatting and or working with the bar my clients and I follow a RPE system (rate of perceived exertion) working each set to an 8 1/2 saving at least one or two reps each working set. Then working to a 10 out of 10 on the last set shows us if we are ready to go up in weight next week.

Shout out to for adding 40lbs to his bench press in the last 6 months and also hitting a new PR of 135lbs and benching a 45lbs plate for the first time!

In this case we do our main weight for three sets of three and if Ken can get five reps on the last set we increase weight the following week, but if not we stay at that same weight another week.

Shout out to Jaxon for hitting a new PR of 95 pounds for three reps at the age of 14! (One full competition rep) This guy impresses me every workout and just keeps getting stronger! Starting out with just the bar six months ago! I canโ€™t wait to see what we can do before football starts in August! ๐Ÿˆ

Shout out to for hitting her PR of 185lbs for 10 today on Barbell squat! Itโ€™s been humbling for her to switch from the smith machine (only option at planet fitness) to the barbell but I will say her core is getting stronger and tighter every single day and her form and technique is as well!

Shout out to and our first week of ADVANCED OVERLOAD TECHNIQUES ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

This overload is a bodyweight drop set so we completed our three sets of normal Bulgarian split squats with the 15 pound dumbbell then drop the dumbbell after the last set and get another 10 body weight reps. This pushes the body past perceived failures and into those b***y gains!!!!

Typically I put together a 6 to 8 week program for my clients. After we focus on beating our sets wraps and weights adding more volume to our main lift the first couple weeks we had whatโ€™s called advanced overload techniques after the last set. We will continue to add a new advanced Overload each week until all of her exercises are overloaded. This is called hell week ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Then we will follow up hell week with a D load week to rest our body and joints and prepare for the new routine! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Note: we follow an RPE system when performing barbell lifts. This allows my clients to stay fresh and give 100% to the last best set. During this phase if we can compete 8 or more we add 5-10lbs next week. Numbers donโ€™t lie. This keeps us safe and injury free.

Monday motivation baby!!!

Reminder, nobody wakes up truly motivated naturally on their own. Motivation is like bathing ๐Ÿงผ you need that s**t daily. Hereโ€™s a couple of the things I do to stay motivated. Affirmations first thing in the morning when you wake up, write down your top 10 favorites and repeat. Put a goal of yours on your phones background, make a goal board, just set round yourself with what you want. Most importantly though you need a plan, and you have to execute that plan. Nothing in life is gifted, nothing comes easy and nothing is free. You have to work for it ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Progress update ๐Ÿšจ

Todayโ€™s chest pump was stupid! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ it was only a a quick 30min pump but I loved it! Shoulders are feeling great and it feels good to get pack to pushing some weight again! Iโ€™ve been sticking to my 40/40/20 diet and doing cardio for 30min 4/5 times per week! Time to get shredded and make 2021 my bitch! **kingo % ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’ฏ
