We definitely wined down this week here in Sonoma 🍇😍
Alex and I were celebrating our 7th year Anni. ❤️ We had the best wine I’ve tasted in a while, ate well, ran in cool/cloudy weather, walked around in cute shops and had plenty of caffeine to even out the vino.
Shoutout to my Mom for holding down the fort with the kids this weekend 😘

The feelings before a workout:
🔸”ah, maybe I’ll just do it tomorrow”
🔸”I’m tired, I’ll just call it off”
🔸”it’s too much work to do right now”
🔸”this workout won’t do much”
🔸”it’s too hot/it’s too cold”
Notice how they’re all negative?
Feelings after a workout:
▫️”man, I’m so glad I did that!”
▫️”I feel so much better!”
▫️”I was proud that I pushed myself”
▫️”I sure worked up a nice appetite”
▫️”I lifted heavier than last time!”
Notice how they are all positive?
As a personal trainer, I rarely come across someone who isn’t feeling accomplished after they did a workout or moved their body in some capacity.
It’s SO good to move. Doesn’t need to be much… but your body loves to move. Your brain enjoys it too - meaning you’ll have less anxiety, depression, tiredness, fatigue, fast food cravings, etc.
When you workout/move your body, you will feel motived, driven, have a clearer mindset for the rest of the day, your body will crave healthier foods and you’ll overall feel alive!
I challenge you to move your body 7 days this week. Don’t think of the excuses, think of the amazing feeling afterwards! Happy Monday 🤝

The McClain-Whipple 3rd Annual Nado trip was yet another success. Lots of running, working out, walking in the perfect weather… mixed with lots of naps, watching golf, sipping yummy cocktails and eating great meals.
So thankful for these friends of ours ❤️ Feeling relaxed and somewhat ready to go back to the AZ summer heat 😅

Being thankful was something I was always taught when I was growing up. My parents always told me that someone will always have less than you and more than you - but it’s your choice to have a good attitude of gratitude towards life.
In our society, it’s so easy to look at the negativity in life.
In my industry of fitness, 95% of the time it’s positive, motivating, inspiring etc. But the 5% that’s remaining is that voice inside of me that wishes for even better. And that “better” changes every day. I mean… I’m human.
I’m constantly reminded everyday of how thankful I am for my job. My clients. My home gym. My flexibility. My home. My family. My kids and husband. My best friends. A roof over my head. A safe neighborhood. Sunshine. My health. My mindset. I could go on and on.
If you’re feeling off today, that’s ok. But remember you have so much be be grateful for ❤️ you just need to stop and think about it.
