Fitness Tip Thursday.
Strength training and Cardiovascular training compliment each other!
There is often the debate which is more important and while they both have there benefits, they are both important for one to obtain overall health and fitness.
'Cardiovascular training effects the heart more directly in a positive way through the body's ability to deliver oxygen to tissues and use it'.....EXRX.net
While, ' Strength training and the muscular adaptations that come with it affects heart health more indirectly. By increasing muscle mass, it gives your cardiovascular system more places to store its blood, thereby reducing blood pressure on the arterial walls.'

I was cleaning...before it was cool to clean!
Old picture because the hair is shorter. Must of been that time of the year, when I finally got a haircut lol.
On a more serious note, it is my job as a personal trainer that I keep folks active and lifting whether it be here, 1 on 1 in my small private fitness studio or via Skype, WhatsApp, or duo.
It is also and always been my duty to ensure that my studio is clean and sanitized before and after each client that I individual train in my private fitness studio. I can ensure you that there is not one piece of equipment; Dumbell, barbell, cable handle, resistance band, door handle, light switch etc...that is not clean and sanitized before and after each client.
Moderate exercise, hydration, and good sleep is also another way that one can stay on top of the health game!

Fitness Tip Thursday!
In the exercise world, these two types of training are often of course used and both have their benefits. Bilateral training is great for building overall strength while, unilateral training is great for balancing out ones strength. Most folks are naturally stronger in their dominant limb so this is way it is important one always includes some unilateral training in their program.
We are only as strong as our weakest link...or in this case, our weakest limb. ππͺπ€π€

Fitness Myth Sunday!
To add to the 'More protein the better' Myth;..A increase of protein does vary in ones goal of course as research has shown that "heavy resistance training can increase protein requirements to as high as 1.7kg/g of bodyweight". (Essentials of Strength and Conditioning, NSCA). Bodybuilders and aerobic athletes will also of course need a higher protein intake.
