Parents may start to worry if their baby’s head starts tilting to one side or if they prefer to look one direction — and your doctor may have even noticed it at your baby’s last check-up. Infant torticollis (tor-ti-col-lis) is easily diagnosable by tightened muscles on one side of the neck, which leaves your baby’s head at a tilt or rotation.

At Alliance Physical Therapy, each patient will have a full hour with one of our Physical Therapists for every visit. We require all personnel to wear masks and we are disinfecting all workspaces between patients. We do not use technicians or assistants. At our clinic, any patient can request a fully vaccinated Physical Therapist. We also offer Saturday hours where the patient and therapist are the only people in the clinic for immuno-sensitive patients. Call us if you have any questions.

Patients with osteoarthritis of the knee who underwent physical therapy had less pain and functional disability at 1 year than patients who received an intraarticu- lar glucocorticoid injection. (ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT01427153.)
If you have knee pain due to arthritis- an occasional physical therapy tune-up often prevents symptoms from worsening and is appropriate management.
Hi everyone! Giving you all another update on how things are going in the clinic.
Physical therapy is considered an essential service during this time. Therefore, we are still open and taking new patients. We screen people for if they have traveled recently, have been around anyone sick, or have been feeling unwell themselves. If they have done any of these things, we ask them to wait two weeks (and monitor any symptoms) before coming in.
Two of our therapists (Malorie and Blair) are still treating patients. They work staggered shifts so there is only ever one physical therapist treating at a time. The therapist only sees one patient per hour and cleans everything between patients. We also have masks for our therapists to wear. For anyone in the high risk category: we can set up telehealth appointments by video or phone, or one of the therapists can write up a home exercise program to be emailed.
As always, please call, text or email us if you have any questions or concerns. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this time!
Here is an update on how we're handling the COVID-19 situation in our clinic:
We are paring down the schedule to be one patient per physical therapist per hour with time to sanitize all areas between patients. We will also have no more than two therapists treating within the clinic at a time.
Going along with this, we will not have any office support personnel in the clinic. Mckenna will be working from home during this time and is still reachable by phone and email. You can email her at: [email protected], or call or text our usual landline number: 480-664-9988.
Starting next week, we will be offering home visits for anyone who feels uncomfortable coming into the clinic for treatment. Additionally, our therapists are here to help you all via phone or video with your home exercise programs. Please let us know if this is something you'd like to take advantage of so we can arrange it for you.
Lastly, if you have traveled in the last week, you need to self quarantine. If you are in close contact with anyone who is sick, you should not come in. Let us know if either of these are the case so we can cancel your appointments.
