1.4lbs Down from Week 1 to Week 2.

That doesnโ€™t seem like a lot right.

Well youโ€™re right.

Opinions can differ on this point, but I believe losing 1-2% of total body weight per week is a healthy way of doing it.

Example - 200lbs person
1% = 2 lbs
2% = 4 lbs

Judging by my weight loss so far, Iโ€™m slightly under that number.

My goal for the two weeks was to find how my body responded to being at my old maintenance calorie limit of 2500cal.

I have not been skipping meals, added any cardio or tried to lessen my calories.

For the next two weeks, Iโ€™m keeping the calories the same but adding in a little โ€œextraโ€ cardio.

20-30 minutes at most.

That should have me in that 1-2% range.

2 months, 20lbs of weight gained ๐Ÿ˜”

I would argue that only 10% of the weight gained is benefiting me.

The rest is all fat.

I find myself feeling disappointed that I let this happen.

I am an emotional eater and there has been a lot going on since the start of this year.

However I know I can turn this around.

Today is the start of me grabbing the reins and taking control again.

Iโ€™m thinking of documenting everything I am doing and sharing it with you.

I will not be posting any content on my social media all of Tuesday (6/2/20), maybe even a couple of days, possibly a week.

Right now, living in America, I will mute myself as I firmly believe my voice is not the one people need to hear right now.

I will dedicate this time to listen to those voices that matter most right now.

By listening to those voices, I hope to be more educated and get a better understanding on how they feel.

While I am learning, I firmly stand with the Black community.

I encourage you to do the same.

Slowing it all down and breaking down my technique piece by piece. Being tight out of the hole and not shooting my hips up too early.

While mindlessly lifting tin is fun, in order to maintain longevity in this field I have to critique everything I do. With two serious back injuries in my past, I cannot take anything for granted.


Little bit of power and explosiveness to finish off the workout today.

With my training becoming harder and more relentless, my NUMBER 1 priority has become RECOVERY ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ด. Without it, I have poor workouts and my progress stagnates.
With my recovery will be taken to the next level! As you can see it pulsates at the precise frequency and pressure to help soften and get rid of knots and increase blood flow to the area. All of which helps with recovery!
I used this a few hours after a very tough leg day and my legs feel ready to squat again! Itโ€™s amazing how quick it works. Very excited to be using this tool ๐Ÿ˜

Question, can you sit at the bottom of a body weight squat without pain, tightness or restrictions? ๐Ÿค”
Many people at the gym today are obsessed about how much weight you can lift. In my opinion, you shouldnโ€™t even be touching a weight if you canโ€™t perform the bodyweight variation with near perfection.
This opinion is shared by , somebody who I highly respect in this industry.
As you can see this is my mobility work before my squat session (that video coming soon). How I feel here determines the weights I lift that day and whether I need more accessory and mobility work. While sticking to my prescribed plan is essential, allowing some variance to accommodate how my body feels day by day is more important and will lead to longevity in this sport. And not to mention my training has helped this tremendously!
