Meet DC Ranch Village personal trainer, Thomas Erickson!👋🏼

Thomas is from Springfield, OR and grew up playing soccer, which sparked his interest in fitness and nutrition. After an injury that sidelined him for months, the rehabilitation process piqued his interest in physical therapy. Thomas completed a BS in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon and went on to work in a sports medicine physical therapy clinic in Seattle shortly after. He uses this background to help clients who are coming back from an injury and believes in training that aids his clients to be athletic and to move more efficiently without pain. Thomas spends his free time watching sports (especially his hometown Ducks), hiking, reading, and spending as much time as possible with friends. Thomas's favorite thing about the Village is the variety of opportunities it provides to be active through group fitness classes, tennis, basketball, swimming, etc.

Aerial sound meditation is one of the most unique group classes offered at the Village. It is an immersive meditative experience. This yoga Nidra class brings an incredible calmness, quietness, and clarity. Members lay in the aerial silks and feel as though they are floating without gravity. You are able to fully relax and reset your mind to the sound of the different healing instruments such as singing bowls, percussion, chimes, and tuning forks. This class does not require any aerial silk or yoga experience. It is offered every Friday afternoon at Gainey Village from 1:30-2:30pm with Kathleen. Be sure to check it out if you’re in need of a mental reset!
