🚨 Arizona Pool Safety Facts That Matter 🚨

• Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1–4 in Arizona
• Nearly 90% of child drownings happen in backyard pools, spas, or hot tubs
• Most incidents occur silently and when a child was not expected to be near the pool

📜 Arizona Law (A.R.S. § 36-1681) exists to reduce these tragedies and requires:
✔️ A minimum 5-foot-tall pool barrier
✔️ Self-closing, self-latching gates that open outward
✔️ No openings larger than 4 inches
✔️ Barriers designed to prevent unsupervised access by young children

These requirements save lives — but only if they’re followed.
