When you move your body like water, the water inside you moves your energy! The water like motion also activates the part of your nervous system that tells your body Brain to relax Release stress!

Tension blocks The fluid movement. You can get it started again as you move fluidly through your body.

If you have a deadline and you are stuck for an idea, move your body.

3 quick solutions:

Get up and dance to your favorite dan e tunes. The movement in your body will open up new pathways in your mind so that you can think better!
Go for a short walk. Open your eyes toward the sky and expand your vision. You’re expanding your inner vision as you expand and look around with your eyes.
Breathe differently than you’re breathing now. Breathe deeper, breathe into your abdomen & diaphragm which is in your lower rib cage. Breathing down and here will activate your parasipathetic nervous system or the part of you that can relax. The more relaxed you are the more you put yourself into a different brain wave state that can be more creative.

When your body moves, your brain opens up.

And movement, breathwork and allowing your brain to expand, will give you new creative ideas.

Try these also, to hit your internal refresh button

Roll around on the floor, spin around, balance on one leg at a time, march touching your opposite hand to your opposite knee, play, enjoy yourself, and move around.

You are changing your brain state, which kicks you into your most creativity!

This is like hitting the refresh button inside your head.

Which of these sounds fun to you?

We’re not talking having to be perfect here. Being aligned with yourself is being In touch with your direction and your values.

When you have a strong direction, it leads you just like navigating in a sailboat. You will get on & off course, however you are still headed toward your direction.

One way that I stay in alignment with myself is to review my values.

Your values support your direction and your direction supports your values.

Some of my values include :

Being honest with myself & others

Being kind to myself & others

Taking care of myself

Nourishing my love for life

Being open to new possibilities

Being open to learning and not shutting myself down because I make a mistake.

These are some of my core values. I have many more.

Part of aligning with myself is reminding myself of my values and of my direction. That keeps me on course, especially when I tend to get distracted, weighed down, or stressed.

When you align with yourself, it’s like pulling up to your house knowing that when you’re inside, you’re at home.

The feeling of being at home is steady, stable and safe.

If you try to be perfect, you shut down your ability to align with yourself. Think perfect is aligning with some idea outside of you that someone has for you, but it doesn’t come from you.

I find that I can stay true to myself by committing to what is true for me. Even if it makes someone mad, upsets them or releases a relationship.

Your truth water is yours and it’s how you live your life in alignment!

If you would like to explore this more for yourself, I would love to offer you a complementary Intro call! DM me for a link!
It’s fantastic that you’re getting that one hour workout in! The sitting for eight hours, However, is literally deteriorating your body.

When you sit for too long, Over a period of time, your body fixes itself into the posture in which you are sitting.

Perhaps you are twisting your shoulders to one side or crossing your legs. Sticking your neck out and rounding your shoulders are also poor posture habits that take over when we sit, even for short periods of time.

Your body is learning this posture all day all day long.

If you are wondering why your neck is stiff, your back is always tight or your hips feel clinched, the setting has a lot to do with it.

Here are 4 ways that you can maneuver around having to sit so much.

Use corrective postures that you can use to stand and work, such as standing against the wall, For a while.
While sitting in your chair, rock your hips back-and-forth as if you were doing a cat/cow in yoga, only sitting.
Getting up every 30 minutes and moving your whole body, from your fingers to your elbows to your shoulders and hips, will keep you fluid and keep your body from freezing in certain postures

Try a few of these out.

The bottom line is to give yourself more movement throughout the whole day so that you keep your energy moving, your body moving, and most of all keep your mind agile because you are moving your mind and your body together.

If you would like help with your posture or any eggs and pains from sitting, DM me for a complementary consultation

What is the posture habit that you fall into the most, during your day? (Crossed legs, leaning over to one side with your upper body or rounding your shoulders forward) COMMENT BELOW!
You can get more done when you’re calm and centered, than when your mind is going in several directions at once.

When you’re in chaos, you rush around, skip steps and are prone to making mistakes.

When you’re in observation mode, you can slow down, see more & even more creative in your problem-solving.

Your breath is your body‘s calming agent.

You have three areas of your body That can help you calm your mind quickly, by breathing into them.

These areas give you access to the vagus nerve which Since signals to your nervous system, to calm down and be aware instead of running around like a crazy person.

Try this out, to relieve stress:

Place your attention in these three areas of your body and breathe fully into each one.

Your belly, right over your navel
Your diaphragm, right under the breast bone and between the two sides of your ribs
Your chest, over your heart

Place your hands one on top of the other, over one of these areas at a time.

Breathe at least three breaths in each area.

Practice as much as you need to, to bring your attention to your body and settle yourself.

You may be surprised at how productive you can be, when you take the time to truly settle your mind into your body.

If you would like some help in creating more peacefulness in your mind, DM me for a complementary consultation.

Anyone who uses a computer needs eye exercises, because the amount of eyestrain by continuous focus on the small space of your screen, creates stress and fatigue.

Staring at your computer for long periods of time without blinking much or moving your eyes near & far, can cause eye diseases such as glaucoma macular generation, tension headaches and even low moods.

Here are 3 quick tips for long lasting results.

🕶 Move your eyes every 10 to 20 minutes. Move them in circles, look far away and look closer.
🕶 Take your eyes out for a walk. Look at the sky and the broad expanse, then bring your eyes easily closer toward you with smooth motions. Look at things up close, then trail them farther away again.
🕶 Cup your eyes with your hands. Make a small cup with your hands and place the heel of your hand on your cheekbone and the fingers at the top of your forehead. Make it so that you can see as much darkness as possible. Allow your eyes to rest in this little cup. Rest for 5-10 minutes or longer. Even if you do it for a couple minutes you’re doing a lot for your eyes.

☀️☀️Protecting your eyes releases stress, can help with headaches and can even help you sleep more deeply!

Try these out. Let me know how they work for you, in the comments below. Computer eyestrain is real as are the diseases that people get from Digital overload.
Being hard on yourself creates a cycle of living in constant stress.

Forgiving yourself, for what you can’t do, gives you more room to ditch the perfection model of having everything perfectly set up and actually have room to learn and get things done.

I used to be really hard on myself….

❌When I didn’t get everything done that I wanted

❌When I made mistakes

❌When my outcomes weren’t my idea of perfect

Do you over think about what you should have done versus what you actually got done?

That type of self talk and beating yourself up on the inside, creates a huge amount of stress and doesn’t give you room to learn how to become more efficient. Instead you’re constantly trying to be perfect, which drains your energy and creates anxiety.

If this is you, I feel your pain. I used to do this also. I’ve learned, how to let go a lot more, be imperfect (of course) and give myself more time to learn.

I’ve also learned a lot about looking at what I can get done and where I am progressing.

What your picture is of how much you can do, many times doesn’t match what you can actually do.

Treating yourself kindly, along with being willing to get help, give yourself more time, and keep going without giving up, can make it much easier to learn how to be more efficient and productive.

If you would like more help with being kind to yourself, being more productive and creating a life with much less stress, DM me for a complementary consultation. I would love to show you what is possible in living with greater ease and kindness to yourself and others.
