There’s something kind of magic about being in the right place with the right people.
Not the right room.
The right people.
Because the room doesn’t matter if you’re surrounded by the wrong energy. But when the Venn diagram lines up? Ideas start swirling like soft serve and you end up with something that could only have come to life in that specific intersection of humans. ✨
You pull something out of them. They pull something out of you. And suddenly you’re saying things you didn’t even know you thought yet.
AI can’t do that.
It cannot sit across from you and ask the question that cracks something open. It cannot read the energy shift in the room when an idea lands. It cannot be the person who sees you differently than you see yourself — and says so out loud.
In a world that’s automating everything it can get its hands on, human connection isn’t becoming less valuable.
It’s becoming the differentiator.
Who are the people in your Venn diagram?

Nobody puts ‘took a real vacation’ on their performance review. Maybe they should.
I’m literally leaning in here — and for once, it’s not because someone scheduled a 7am standup. 😄
We’ve been sold this idea that grinding 24/7 is what separates the good from the great. But here’s what the research actually says — chronic overwork tanks creativity, decision-making, and emotional intelligence. (You know, the stuff that actually gets you promoted.)
Rest isn’t the opposite of ambition. It’s the fuel for it.
And time off isn’t holding me back — it’s what keeps me sharp enough to actually show up and lead well.
The highest performers I know aren’t the ones glued to their inbox on vacation. They’re the ones who figured out that protecting their energy IS the strategy.
So here’s your challenge: What’s one thing you’re going to actually lean into this week that has nothing to do with work?
Drop it below.

This is what happens when you spend more time with people who MAKE your day.
Full day at Hollywood Studios AND Epcot with my wellness ladies and somehow I’m still smiling at the end of it. (The ears helped.)
Grateful doesn’t even cover it. ✨

Remember this: your value isn’t determined by whether a company keeps you during a layoff. It’s defined by how prepared you are for whatever comes next.
The days of 40-year careers with gold watch retirements are long gone. Expecting loyalty from companies that make decisions via spreadsheets is like expecting emotional support from your calculator.
Your career isn’t a passive journey - you are a business and your company is buying your services. Once you understand this, you can start to position yourself strategically.

What I would tell her about “working smarter”
1. Your worth isn’t measured in hours worked.
2. Impact trumps busy-ness every single time.
3. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish – it’s necessary.
4. Setting boundaries isn’t career su***de – it’s career strategy.
5. Don’t wait to be invited to the table
I help other high-achievers (especially my fellow neuro-spicy folks) navigate this wild world of work without losing themselves in the process. Because let’s face it, the world needs more leaders who can show that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your sanity.

Whether you are currently working your dream job and want to avoid layoff anxiety, or burnt out and looking for a change, the BEST thing you can do is to know your full value in the workplace... Ever notice how quickly we forget what we actually do at work? I call it “job description amnesia”- that weird phenomenon where you’ve been in a role so long you’ve completely forgotten half of what you’re responsible for.
Job descriptions are written in corporate hype-person language - they spell out your value in terms that make you sound like a superhero. And in moments of career doubt, that’s exactly the reminder you need!
My recommendation? Find your job description today.
If you can’t locate the original, search for similar roles at your company or competitors. Highlight responsibilities you’ve mastered that you forgot were actually impressive skills.
Remember, preparation isn’t paranoia - it’s power. And knowing your full value is the foundation of career confidence.
How long has it been since you looked at your job description? Let me know in the comments below!

Have you been renting out your time at a discount for way too long?
When budgets are tight, companies will often do their best to convince you that your value is lower… that you’re lucky to have a job… that you should just hustle and keep your head down.
But here’s what I learned during my own pivots (and what I wish someone had told me earlier): **You are not a clearance item.**
Whether you’re facing layoffs or sitting in a role where you’re consistently undervalued, remember this – their budget constraints don’t determine your worth. Their “that’s all we can afford” doesn’t set your market rate.
I’ve watched too many brilliant people accept the narrative that they should be grateful for whatever crumbs they’re offered. Meanwhile, less qualified people are negotiating better packages because they understand something crucial: how you position your value determines how others perceive it.
Your skills, experience, and the problems you solve don’t lose value because someone else’s spreadsheet is tight. You’re not a generic subscription service competing on price alone.
So whether you’re updating your resume or sitting in your current role feeling underappreciated – stop renting yourself out at a discount. Start presenting your value like the premium service you are.
The right opportunity will value you. The wrong one will always try to negotiate you down. And even when you end up accepting something lower than your ideal (we’ve all been there), remember you’re offering a temporary discount, not setting a permanent price.
Ready to stop undervaluing yourself and start positioning for what you’re actually worth? DM me “WORTH” and let’s talk about how to make your next career move your most profitable one.
