What The Blues

We're holding open practice twice in December! Come along to hone your blues dancing in a supportive learning environment with experienced blues dancers and your peers!

In this series, we are going further than ever before in What the Blues history, diving into the subtleties and complexities of blues fundamentals, as well as learning more technically-challenging idioms. Come along and practice expressing and holding multiple pulses in different parts of the body, explore how to both literally and figuratively shape your dance to reflect and complement the music, and continue your journey to understanding Blues culture and how it influences us and the form.

This series is geared towards intermediate/advanced blues dancers. Beginner/elementary blues dancers may join, if you're willing to be in a high-paced learning environment with complex topics. Those with no dance experience should check out other learning opportunities around the city!

We're on break for a few weeks (Oct 7, 14, 21) as we prep for an intermediate-advanced series for the Seattle blues scene - we can't wait to fire up this next chapter of the learning and growing! 💙
