Lately, I’ve been embracing ma (間)— the Japanese concept of creating intentional space.
For me, this looks like saying no to FOMO.
Resisting the urge to fill every gap.
And remembering:
Ma isn’t just space to do less.
It’s space for something deeper to emerge.
✨ Space for breathe.
✨ Space for alignment.
✨ Space for transformation.
This is the kind of growth I’m leaning into.
And it’s reshaping everything—how I work, how I rest, and how I lead this brand.
This brand is growing up.
And so am I.
Still grounded in systems—
Now rooted in soul.
👇 Your turn—
How are you making space to grow?

✨ Building better habits starts with 3 simple steps: ✨
1️⃣ Practice Showing Up: When I first started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, my only goal was to show up—even on the tough days. Just being there was the win that set everything else in motion.
2️⃣ Build Slow: I didn’t try to master submissions or perfect my techniques on day one. Habits take time to build, and patience + persistence make all the difference.
3️⃣ Track Your Wins: Progress isn’t always flashy—I simply tracked every class I attended. Recognizing those little victories kept me motivated to keep showing up.
💡 The secret? It’s not about being perfect—it’s about showing up, staying steady, and celebrating the little wins along the way. What habit are you focusing on this year? Share it below—I’d love to cheer you on! 👇
👉 Bonus: Post your habit focus in your Story and tag me! I’d love to see what you’re working on and cheer you on personally. 🙌

Want more discipline? 🙋🏻♀️
You can have just about anything you want with discipline to do the work. 🌈
Think of the freedom you would have in your life when you know deep in your bones you have the discipline to see anything through.
But discipline is hard-earned.
There are no shortcuts. You have to work at it before you get good at it.
The key is to start ridiculously small.
Whatever your goal, start with the discipline of just showing up.
🌱 Show up to the gym.
🌱 Show up to your relationship.
🌱 Show for your business.
🌱 Show up for your money.
🌱 Show up to your practice.
It might feel too simple at first, but get really, really good at showing up - and you’re more than half way there.
Once you’ve built the discipline of showing up, the next steps will reveal themselves.
🔑 Discipline is your key to freedom.

🤔What are you willing to do,
(or in some cases, stop doing)
to create the results you really want?
👇🏼Share in the comments! I want to cheer you on! 🤗
Let’s face it. If you don’t do something different, in a year’s time, you’ll have the same result you have now. (Except you’ll be a year older.)
It’s time to let go of the idea of quick fixes and convenience.
Real results often take time, consistency, and patience.
But even small tweaks can add up to a lot over the course of time.
You just have to be willing to put in the work.
Be committed to the journey.
You deserve nothing less. ❤️

There is so much that is outside of your control. 😫
But what you can control is yourself:
⚡️How you choose to see a situation
⚡️How you respond to it
⚡️What decisions you’ll make
⚡️What actions you’ll take
⚡️When you’ll take said action
As a recovering perfectionist, I know deep in my bones how paralyzing perfectionism can be.🦠
But, doing my best? I got this.
And, so do you, my friend.👊🏼
It’s a subtle but powerful mindset shift.🧠
🎁 Do your best at this moment - that’s all you can do.
Don’t get caught up in the past, the what-ifs, or perfectionism.
And, as it is with all great habits, rinse and repeat. 💎

More than time, batching saves my sanity. 🤫
Some other favorite things I batch:
💰personal and business finances
📥 processing my physical inbox
💻 misc admin work
🪄
🏃🏻♀️ running errands
🛍️ shopping (online and in-person)
🪄🧺 laundry
and the list goes on and on.
In short, if I can batch it, I do.
🪄If you’re new to batching, start in small batches. You won’t be able to run a marathon on your first day.
But keep at it, and you will gradually develop your focus muscles to be able to batch in larger batches. 💪🏼
What do you love to batch??

This “someone” could be your mom, spouse, kids, society at large… even the self-preservation part of your psyche. 🤨
👉🏼Yes, it takes considerable effort and courage to uphold boundaries and live your priorities every single day.
👉🏼Yes, it’s incredibly inconvenient at times to prioritize your priorities. You won’t always want to do it.
👉🏼Setting and honoring your priorities is saying no to a lot of people and a lot of things.
👉🏼These someone’s may even judge you. Call you obsessed, inflexible, difficult and worse.
💫But it’s your life and business that you are building.
It won’t always be easy but it will always be worth it. ❤️

The antidote to overwhelm is?? 🤔
Simplicity. ✨
It’s why I love this ridiculously simple 3-step process to follow when I’m feeling overwhelmed.❤️
Here they are:
1. Write it.
Do a brain dump and get all the tasks, projects, and ideas spinning in your head. Get it all down on paper.
Your brain will sigh a sigh of relief - like putting down a heavy load. 🧠
2. Choose it.
Remember you’re human and can only do one thing at a time.
Choose the very next task from your list. Just one. Break it down if need be.
Now get after it.
3. Complete it.
Take the task to completion without distraction. Don’t let your brain or your anxious feelings take you off course.
Your chosen task is the only thing you need to be doing right now.
Pat yourself on the back no matter how small the task. Your brain likes the reward. 👏🏻
Rinse and Repeat.
This sounds incredibly obvious and simple, but when in overwhelm, your brains want to avoid, distract, or maybe even shut down.
It’s your job to guide your brain to focus on completing the one task.
👉🏼Pro-tip: don’t get too caught up on what is the right task to start on.
This is an exercise of telling your brain and your feelings who’s boss right now. You’ll get to all the important tasks in time.

Resilience is a state of mind. 🧠
As humans, we all experience very real setbacks, obstacles, disappointments, and failures in our day-to-day lives.
💫What matters most is your ability to bounce back and keep going.
There is a Japanese proverb - Nana korobi, yaoki.
It roughly translates to: Fall down 7 times, get up 8.
It means you always have the power to get up 1 extra time. 👊🏼
I’ve had many setbacks, large and small, in all areas of my life - as well all have. But health-related setbacks were the toughest to keep a resilient mindset. It often felt the most out of my control.
So tip #5 has been clutch for me. Taking a shower had a way to help me calm my catastrophizing mind, relax my body, and start fresh. 🚿
Here they are written out:
1. Give setbacks new meaning
If the story you're telling yourself about the challenge you're facing doesn't serve you, give it a new story.
Focus on the lessons you learned.
2. Keep it in perspective
Take 10 steps back and ask, "Will this matter in 10 days, 10 months or 10 years? Even giant setbacks are often just small blips in the span of your lifetime.
3. It' ain't over till it's over
It's only over when you decide it's over. Surround yourself with stories of people who have overcome monumental setbacks for inspiration, and keep taking action.
4. Learn to surf
Setbacks create tidal waves of emotions. Don't let them drown you. Learn to feel and manage difficult emotions and ride them out.
5. Take a shower, start again
When all else fails, take a moment to reboot. Showers work wonders. So does a quick getaway.
Rinse and repeat as needed.
If you struggle to get up and start again after a setback, give these tips a try.

All big achievements can be broken down to small actions. And it’s those small actions that create results.
Focus on the next small action.
If your feeling overwhelmed or intimidated, you’re probably too focused on the end goal or the big milestones.
Try this instead: continue to break those milestones down to smaller and smaller specific steps, until it feels doable.
For me, this sometimes looks as small as: Take a shower. Open the document. Start a crap draft.
What’s your next small action? Share in the comments 👇🏼
