Many people believe that you can spot reduce fat by doing exercises that target a
specific area.
However, this is not possible.
Fat is lost all over the body when you create a calorie deficit, through diet and
exercise.
When you lose weight, your body uses stored energy, or fat, from all over your body
to compensate for the deficit of energy.
Unfortunately, some areas of the body hold more fat than others and these are the
ones that will be gone last!
And so, the answer is to simply stay consistent with your efforts.
Eat well, train well, sleep well and be patient!

Success is how high you bounce
I’m sure you’ve heard it before - success never just happens. Success is never just a pretty road all the way up - with no setbacks. Wouldn’t that be nice?! But that’s not how it works.
Success comes from failures. Success comes from getting it wrong - then learning the lessons from it - and coming back even stronger.
Success is a bumpy road. It goes up, it goes down. And it goes all around.
Buckle up for the ride, friends. Enjoy the ride. Look for the ups and downs. Take the downs and learn from them. Get better. Do better. Become better.
Your success is determined by how high you can bounce when you hit bottom. Let’s bounce together :)

Food is the most abused anxiety drug … Exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant.
Another truthbomb - and give me an AMEN and an emoji in the comments below if you agree!!
FOOD - friends, let’s all eat to fuel our bodies, and NOT for our emotions. When you go to pick up that fork - think about it. What are you fuelling? Are you eating for your goals? Or - are you eating out of stress, anxiety or any other emotion? I just ask that you start to be present - and think before you eat. Awareness is the first step.
EXERCISE - was there ever a workout that didn’t make you feel absolutely ON TOP OF THE WORLD when you finished? Working out is so powerful physically, but EVEN MORE powerful mentally. Exercise releases endorphins - the good feelings.
So when you find yourself stressed, sad, or down - my suggestion is to go WORKOUT. Any workout that brings you joy. Go for a walk - lift heavy weights - punch it out in an MMA session - stretch and breathe through yoga or pilates - dance! Whatever exercise speaks to your soul. Turn to THAT instead of food.
If we all took this on, can you imagine what a different world we would live in?

False!
Muscle and fat are two very different types of tissue in the body.
Muscle is composed of cells that are specialized for contraction, while fat is made up of adipose cells that store energy.
With this in mind, we can say that the notion of muscle turning to fat completely (or vice versa) is just... Not possible!
So next time you see a former top athlete in not so good shape, think of it this way - The person simply lost muscle mass due to not using it the same way as before, and... Perhaps gained some fat, because everyone needs some time off after a long career in training!

Just because you’ve always done something doesn't mean you always have to
This is an interesting one to really ponder. Just because you’ve always done something - doesn’t mean you always have to.
Habits are changeable. So many of our daily habits and the things we do, came from our parents and upbringing. But - perhaps our parent’s goals and beliefs don’t serve us. Perhaps what we want out of life is different from what they wanted.
We live in a different time. The world is a different place. We’ve gotten smarter. We’ve figured a few more things out.
Please don’t think that just because you’ve always done things one way, that you have to stay doing it like that.
Take note - perhaps is there a different action that could serve you better? That could help you get to where you want to be? To the person you want to become? To what you want to achieve?
The amazing things about humans - we CAN change. We CAN re-write our habits. We CAN make tomorrow better than today. We just have to decide.

Discipline is choosing between what you want NOW for want you want MOST
How badly do you want it? How badly do you want the body? How badly do you want to move better? Feel better? Live healthier? Feel more energized? Live LONGER?!!
How badly do you want it?
It’s going to take discipline to get it.
Choices come up each day. Things will come up that will try to pull you away from what you want.
Focus IN. Stay disciplined. Understand that there’s a difference between what you want NOW and want you MOST in the long run.
Believe in yourself. Believe in your goals. Believe in why you’re doing what you do. And hold the course. Your body - your fitness - your health - your life … It’s ALL worth it!

When it comes to weight loss, drastic calorie cutting is not the answer.
In fact, it can actually lead to weight gain in the long run.
A better approach is to create a moderate caloric deficit through diet and exercise.
This way, you can lose weight safely and maintain your results over time.
So don't go on a crazy diet, just find a sustainable way to lose up to 1-2 lbs per week!

I always say - don’t half-ass anything! If you’re going to do something - give it your full ass, lol!!
Ok seriously though friends - let’s talk about the effort that we’re putting in. If we only put in ½ the effort, let’s not question why we only get ½ the results, k?
So … following that … if we want to get full 100% results - we have to put in 100% effort. It’s just the way the world works.
Are you ready to go after your goals and get 100% results? Are you ready to give it your all - your 100% effort? When you’re ready to GO ALL IN - I am here for you! If it was easy every one would do it💪
! It’s not easy sticking with it. It’s not easy getting our workouts in every day. It’s not easy making healthy food choices - all the time. It’s not easy getting our rest and drinking all our water each day. It’s not easy always doing the things we know we should do.
Life brings us good days, and bad. It’s not always easy.
But here’s the thing - that makes it so much more AWESOME when we succeed.
We know we worked for it. We earn our results. We work hard for them. We deserve them!
It takes us time to become the person WORTHY of having our results.
But YOU - YES, friend - you ARE worthy. You DO deserve the results you desire.
Stick with it. Trust the process. Live in balance - always! Bad days can bring you down from time to time. It’s OK. Get right back up again. Don’t dwell on it. Know that you’ve got this - that you’re worthy - and that you really are AWESOME.
And if it was really easy - everyone would do it. You’re better than everyone. You CAN do the work. You WILL do the work. You MUST do the work.
And you will succeed.

When we think about malnourishment, usually we associate it with a very skinny figure.
However, the fact of the matter is that obese people can be malnourished, too!
How is that possible, you may ask? Well, it’s simple - Obese people gain excess weight because they tend to consume LESS nourishing foods and more foods that are poor in nutrients, but high in calories.
This in turn leads to the person not meeting their needs, thus disrupting the internal functioning of many processes.
