BOEALPS will be at Lake Wenatchee State Park’s South Campground Group Site for May 1st - May 3rd, 2026. A Discover Pass will be needed for parking.

Out of respect for the park, NO RVs, trailers, or van/car camping is allowed. Additionally, NO collecting sticks/debris from the campsite. We must bring our own firewood and kindling if fires are allowed. People are welcome to show up as early as 3PM on Friday afternoon to take advantage of the close proximity to hiking, climbing, and Leavenworth!

This year the club will not be hosting a potluck but encourages BMC teams and others to coordinate their own team dinners at the campsite.

Parking at the campsite is limited to 20 cars so we highly encourage everyone to carpool (must have 3+ person per car).

RSVP (link in bio) to receive additional information about the event and to give us an accurate headcount for the event.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of a tragic loss in our BOEALPS climbing community. Alex Chiu died while climbing Denali on Monday, June 2nd, 2025. Alex was a vibrant and dedicated member of our extended outdoor family—someone whose love of the mountains, spirit of adventure, and kindness touched many. He was not only a skilled and passionate climber, but also a dedicated teacher who inspired countless students and climbing partners alike. Alex’s absence leaves a tremendous void in our hearts. On behalf of BOEALPS, we extend our deepest condolences to Alex’s family, friends, and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss. The mountains bind us in beauty and risk alike, and in moments like these, we are reminded just how precious our shared journey is.

We’re excited to have Part 2 of our Intro to Photography Seminar led by local landscape photographer Cherlyn Eliza

So maybe you’ve taken your phone or camera out on an outing, but you still feel like your photos are lacking something? Come find out how to elevate your photos so they’re print-worthy and you can WOW your social media followers. Cherlyn has spent over 8 years climbing, skiing and hiking around the world while hauling a camera on all her trips. She specializes in adventure elopement photography in Washington and has an eye for finding details in great landscapes.

Learn beyond the basics of landscape photography with Cherlyn as she walks through her method for post processing photography on an outdoor trip. We’ll review composition and camera basics from the previous seminar, so no worries if you missed the first part. We’ll also have a hands-on opportunity to workshop your favorite photos, so bring your photos here to edit!

We loved using the space at Michael Florentino Cellars for the instructor social, so we’re going to meet there again!

When: Thursday March 20th
6pm Hang Out
7pm Presentation and Workshop
Location: Michael Florentino Cellars at S**O. Enter building in the back right corner.

Optional: bring your computer if you want to work with your own raw images, otherwise we’ll spend some time on our phone apps to practice.

Bring a friend and all your photography related questions!
