Meeting up with other coaches is a precious and rare opportunity for me, sometimes it feels quite isolating as a solopreneur, and I am so grateful to have had a whole day with these two humans ❤️ thanks to and for a fun climbing day, chatting coaching and sharing insights.

Training strength on the wall with intention, such as “today I’ll focus on hamstring engagement,” is really the only way to transfer your general strength you get from deadlifts and Nordic curls to improve specific positions you are weak in.

Comment “pod” and I’ll DM you today’s podcast link where we cover on and off the wall hamstring strength.

Red Rocks Recap!
I hosted our annual Modus Meet-up in Red Rocks a few weeks ago.

I finally did my lifetime project, Alexisizer. This is the second hardest climb I’ve done in RR, though the grades do not reflect the try hard. Who knew you could feel the strongest in your life at 42 years old!

I also did some ego campusing, trying to avoid a right heel hook on The Wave (yup, I have an injury, but what’s new).

Thanks to everyone who showed up from our membership, y’all are the best ❤️❤️❤️

Sends ✅ Punts ❌ and 100% Fun 🤩

I had a really wonderful time in Squamish this weekend with some very quick sends and also some “no tops” fun attempts.

It’s pretty glaring the style I trend towards! I love overhangs and was pleased to almost do a V8 in a few tries (no video). And then many intentional attempts on a slab dihedral v3 with no tops 😅

But when you try a lot, you end up falling most of the time, and occasionally getting to the top of a few :)

1. Maxi Pad V7 ✅
2. Japanese Cowboy V5 ✅
3. Stevie Nicks V3 ❌
4. Tai Fighter V4 ❌
5. Little Dragon V6 ❌

I don’t often post my no send vids, but I was really pleased with my performance overall.

Thanks to my friends (wifey and dog included) for making this weekend a blast ❤️

🎙️Mastering Climbing Movement

In today’s episode, coach gives us insight on how to improve our climbing movement in every session.

I appreciate her style as it focuses more on curiosity and exploration rather than a prescriptive process.

Play, exploration, beginner’s mind — these are all ingredients to a fun movement session.

Take a listen! Link in bio.
