Thanks to everyone who came out for our last Friday night roda of our Summer Project. Thank you to the City of Seattle for supporting our art and culture, to the Union Cultural Center for pulling up consistently, and to the Seattle Capoeira Center teachers and contramestres for being our home base, and to every capoeirista who showed up with commitment to maintain the tradition. You are all the truth. Thank you. 

We’ve got one more outdoor roda this season. Join us on Sunday, September 28th at 12p on the rooftop of the Seattle Aquarium. Let’s close out the "Summer" together. Happy Birthday to my Big Sister, Meia Lua

Huge thanks to Northwest Folklife for hosting the Seattle Capoeira Center and Capoeira Life this year! The album release was incredible, and we're grateful to everyone who made it happen. Special thanks to our students and community for sharing the beauty of Capoeira Angola with the public. Thanks also to CM Desenho and Professor Soldado for leading the roda with me. I truly appreciate Mestre Silvinho from for his support and help yesterday. Grateful for my fiancé for her support during the album release and project. I'm so thankful for our students' consistent support and everything they do for our community, there's too many to tag, thank you all. I'm filled with gratitude and energy.

Community, I got a big moment coming up this Sunday. Pull up to Folklife Festival on May 25 at 4p at the Jam Tent.

I’m teaching a free Capoeira Angola workshop. No experience needed. Just bring good energy. You can watch, jump in, or try something new. Right after, we’re doing a Capoeira performance that’s open to everyone. All levels, all love.

That same day, I’m dropping my first studio album: “Eu Sou Angoleiro” - Mestre Mangangá. It goes live on all streaming platforms on Sunday.

This album means a lot to me. It’s my story, and it’s our lineage of Capoeira Angola from the Town. Would love to see the community show up and help make it special.

As we wrap up the year, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been a part of our Capoeira journey in 2024. From the rodas, classes, and events, to the laughs, sweat, and camaraderie, it’s been an incredible year of growth and community. I’m so grateful for each of you who show up, play, and keep the energy alive.

We’ll be closed after December 21st for a well-deserved break, but we’ll be back in the New Year, ready for a 2025 filled with action, training, and unforgettable Capoeira moments.
