Sebring late night.

Stay tuned for a little bit of story to bring the whole event together.

Motorsports themed posters, apparel, and photography. Check out Trackography.Redbubble.com for our current run of goods. Motorsports Posters, with a twist.
Here at Trackography, we tend to take an approach that is a bit different than your usual motorsports wall art. We hate boring. And in a world saturated with overpriced, bland line drawings of the race tracks you know and love. We wanted to try and bring you something a bit different. We hope you all will agree with us that we did just that. A few notes that we want you to know:

Sebring Raceway is, if nothing else, a battlefield. Machine versus road, driver versus driver, machine and driver versus time. And like all battefields, it takes an army to come out the other side in one piece.

The things you'll find....

There is always weird to be found. There is always something strange to see. There is always fun to be had, if you look hard enough.

Early morning in the paddock.
-
It’s a special time, really. Whether it’s race day or a day of support races.
-
There is a low hum that seeps through everything, and everyone. A quiet anticipation that is easily felt.
-
And then you’ll hear it, the first machine roars to life. It could be on the the other end of the paddock, but it cuts through the still morning air as if it was you who pushed the starter button.
-
Then another, and another. What follows is a symphony of noise that is music to the ears of the few folks who are there to share the moment with you. For those that have been here before, there is a certain recognition as each instrument joins in.
-
A chainsaw like tone rips through the morning light...“There’s the Ferrari.”
-
You begin to feel a rhythmic bass drum thump in your chest…”I think the Vettes are awake.”
-
A quick gruff crescendo is followed by a whistle and a quiet burble…”The Mazda’s.”
-
It goes on, and on, and after a bit of time, the previously sleeping, now awake giants begin to make their way out of their bunks onto the main roadway of the paddock.
-
And more often than not, it’s just best to shut up and get out of the way. They’ve got work to do.

Under the Skirt (1/3)
-
Escaping the broadcast coverage of a race, and walking through track grounds on your own two feet can open up your eyes to what is beneath the carefully sculpted bodies that seem to exist only within a very loud, very fast moment of time. This can give you a chance to appreciate the beauty in the mechanical, the sometimes almost fragile looking components that play more than a small part in getting this hunk of composite and metals around the track in a timely fashion.
-
You don’t often hear, or see anything about these pieces in the race report. They just do their job, while the engineer who designed them observes with a smile on their face, knowing that beyond that steering wheel, underneath those sponsorship colors and flared fenders, there is a crucial component quietly doing what it was designed to do, in concert with thousands of other pieces doing the same.
