One must be connected with their breath to feel their body.

A connection to the body allows one to feel their heart.

A connection with the heart allows one to become clear about their values so that they may connect with their humanity.

When one sees their own humanity and realizes that others are suffering around them, they have the opportunity to connect with oneness of all beings and our shared humanity.

From the breath, body, heart and awareness of humanity, one must take action.

No one exists without taking action.

Skill in action.

Seattle was gorgeous this weekend!

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and although rain showers will inevitably come, know there are always more sunny days ahead 🌞

Happy Thursday everyone!

This evening we will be under the half moon, meaning we are one week away from the Full Moon, and our last Super Moon of the year!

We officially would love to invite you to our Full Moon Gathering, next Wednesday, from 7-9pm PST! We'll share some rituals to embrace the power of the full moon, as well as an all levels, gentle vinyasa class.

Even though we cannot all be together, holding hands, face to face, we can still connectπŸ’«

Unable to predict the future, we had originally planned to host our SECOND local retreat over this year's summer solstice in June! We have made the decision not to cancel, but to postpone, until we can all rise to the new normal and adapt.

We love you, we're here for you, and we're sending our light to the world in this uncertain time. Stay tuned for more soon, and take care.

Muladhara, The Root Chakra.
Muldahara means: base - support and this chakra is associated with the element of earth.

When our root chakra is imbalanced, we can feel a lack of control, insecurity, and worry over money or resources. Sound relevant these days?

Our connection to the root chakra revolves around our basic needs as humans - health, safety, and stability. All of which are threatened during this crazy time.

I am recognizing that I've been feeling quite un-grounded and that likely many others are as well.

What helps me get grounded: getting outside, being in nature, deep breaths, reminding myself "I am safe," "I am well."
Our basic needs must be met, so that we can move out of fear and into action.

I'm leading a vinyasa class this evening focused around the root chakra in hopes of finding a sense of grounding and peace.
530 pm, . See you online ❀

Today, we took our time to sleep in, take a walk, get some sunshine, breathe in fresh air, and ease the nervous system.
β€’
Slow the hyperactive mind, unwind, and let some time pass. For now, it's okay to postpone all the personal expectations you have for yourself.

In other news...
It's the first day of Spring!

Spring is supposed to be a time of new beginnings, a fresh start, a clean slate. I don't know whether to find this hopeful or humorous. .
So I'll go with a little of both. I have hope things will be ok, I have seen my community come together with incredible support for each other and creativity in these wild times.

And here are a couple pictures of us hanging with a friendly chipmunk last year at colchuck lake πŸ˜‚

Love to you all, stay positive, and stay connected! A fresh start is coming!

Our lives are changing by the day right now, almost feels like by the minute, or hour.
β€’
Before I could change my mind, I changed clothes, did a 17 minute at-home workout, then went outside for a walk. I made it to Lincoln park, and there, TWO bald eagles flew right overhead.
β€’
I'm taking that as a "you did the right thing" from the universe. 🌠
β€’
Amidst all the change, where can you establish a new routine? A place for your mental and physical well being?
