You don’t have to believe everything you think or to internalize every emotion you feel.
You should challenge your thought process. Clinging too tightly to your first opinion or immediate reaction is a stagnant mindset and a total bummer.
Life long learners are happier people! By staying curious you won’t hold too tightly to old beliefs. You’ll learn how embrace a growth mindset.
Surround yourself with people who have different ideas than you. Consume various forms of media and self help. Stay open and challenge your limiting beliefs.
It will help you become a more critical thinker. Responsive. Not reactive.
You are supposed to evolve. You can change old political persuasions, thoughts and actions regarding your family, religious beliefs, how relationships should work, and on and on.
Shift your mindset about who you believe yourself to be or what you’re capable of.
And guess what? You don’t need anyone’s permission to expand and flourish.
Save this post for next time you find yourself falling back into old patterns. They no longer serve the person you are meant to be.
You got this 👊😻

Guess what? Nothing lasts forever. This pic was taken over 3 years ago by my sweet older sister who invited me to visit her after my heart was broken. A much needed trip.
Here’s another guess what?
Life isn’t over. As much as you may be hurting it’s important to remember that things can change in one second.
But only if…
You look forward. Try new things. Let new experiences change you and implement growth.
Experiences are the single most important factor in your healing and growth!
Even if you have to force it. Move through your fear.
It will help you become more resilient. More gritty. More bad ass. And more at peace with a loving heart.

Ok, enough of the memes that say how horrible 2022 is starting out.
Engaging with that is more powerful than you think. And it’s complete 💩
Perhaps you’ve heard of the saying, “Instead of imagining what can go wrong try imagining what can go right?”
That’s called Future Visioning which is a tried and true concept. So quit it with the negative sarcastic memes.
Positive Future Visioning has been empirically proven and studies have shown that holding a sustained focus on your future goals and the positive outcomes will decrease your stress response. (Otherwise known as fear, anxiety, and feeling stuck).
It gets you out of your head. It can relieve your obsession with your past, perceived failures, shame, and the fear of the unknown.
Future Visioning is based on sports psychology. Top athletes envision themselves catching the ball, scoring a goal, running through the tape, etc. If it’s good enough for them, why not you?
Instead of reposting another meme on how this year already sucks try this instead!
Write down what your life would look like if everything goes as well as it possibly could.
I bet very few of you actually take the time and space to focus on what you want to accomplish. 🤔
You have to figure out what YOU want. Not what your parents told you to want. Not what religion, friend, or society’s expectations say you should want. And not what fear tells you you can’t have.
If you don’t know where you want to be, here’s another thing to try.…
Ask yourself, how do you want to FEEL?
Calm, focused, resilient, sexy, confident, energetic, and full of love for oneself and others are the common answers my clients give me.
How about a vision board?! Sounds hokey but it can benefit you! When you have a goal in your minds eye, and what it looks like, you are more likely to follow through on it.
Putting your goals and preferred feelings on paper works! If you know exactly what you want make sure you remember to put down how achieving your goals will feel inside. Important step here.

Confidence. We all want it. We’ve all been told to be “fearless” and “bold”.
But how?
Practice Practice Practice!
Practice the qualities of optimism, the ability to recover from setbacks, and the courage to try new things. In other words, Resiliency and Grit.
But what no one wants to hear.. is that you have to practice failing while showing up again anyways.
Here’s how you can practice.
-Confident people don’t put limiting labels on themselves such as “bad”, “horrible person” or “not smart”. They don’t victimize themselves or make themselves out to be worse than anyone else.
-Confident people dream big! They don’t let others dim their light and gifts to the world.
When you show up for yourself and try new things.. your confidence will increase. Even if it doesn’t work out as planned. You will see that the world didn’t end, tomorrow is a new day, and you’re going to be just fine. Trust me.
In turn what you’ve gained is experience and a reservoir of resilience. Which keeps expanding and multiplying.
You’ve got this. 💛💪

How I feel after my coaching calls.
One of the things I’m most thankful for is you allowing me into your lives, your stories, and into your hearts. Feeling your trust in me is immense. What a special experience indeed. ❤️

Can’t get enough of this kid. ❤️
Pict taken right before I was abandoned on top of the mountain and I cried the whole way down because I was scared and frustrated and w/out too many skills:.
I also couldn’t see because it was a mild blizzard and my tears were fogging up my goggles.
I Never learned how to ski as a kid. All brawn and no brains keeps me from crashing.
And guess what? Just a hour later it was funny.
I had to keep reminding myself that I was going to laugh about it later as I was cursing and crying down the hill.
When I finally got to the lodge while bawling my eyes out, my son told me he hadn’t seen me like that in a very long time. If ever.
And PS. First time for boyfriend. Ah.. .embrace all the new experiences. 👍
Thanks for the memories Tom and family! I’m grateful 😽😹 ⛷ ❄️ 🎄

Are red jeans still in? Actually I don’t care. I love them.
Interesting enough. Most of my life coaching clients are worried about being too much. Too big. Taking up too much space and attention. And definitely not wearing clothes that brings attention.
It’s amazing how much growth can be accomplished wearing red lipstick or perhaps red jeans.
It may seem silly. But these small things mean so much.
Be you. Be bold. Be whatever you want..
The world needs more of you. Try it out. It may feel uncomfortable at first. But new things and new experiences trains the mind to imagine new impossibilities. Rewires the brain. It’s called growth and boldness.
Go for it. You got this 💛 💪

Guess what? 45 is the new 45. Not the new 35 or what have you. Who comes up with these sayings?
Saying “45 years young” irritates me.
Or when men call me, “Young Lady” as if it’s a compliment.
Or, “Are you turning 29 again?”
Or, “How young are you turning today?”
And on and on. 🤮
Spare me.
I’ve never minded my birthday. I’ve never lied about my age. I’ve never dreaded turning a year older. I’ve don’t feel devalued as my age increases.
Don’t put your assumptions that I hate getting older onto me. I reject all of it.
This last year has been wonderful. I’ve stood up for myself in ways I previously could not imagine. I’ve grown softer and more open to new experiences and a new definition of love. I’ve let go of trying to control the uncontrollable. (Most things)
I feel calmer and less frantic. Going with the flow feels easier. Letting people misunderstand me has become quite comfortable.
Do you realize how short life really is?
Take your shot. You deserve happiness and love. You deserve to evolve, forgive quickly, love hard, let go of grudges, take risks, leave unhealthy relationships and become more of who you really are.
Your best years can be ahead of all of you!😻
Need help developing that mindset? Set up a discovery call. Life isn’t going to wait.

Moving Day. August 2012. Last rest stop before ascending into Boise, ID. My face says it all.
I knew changes were coming but I was in no way prepared for how my story would unfold.
Separated and in the middle of a divorce within 5 months. No money, no job, no family, and no place to live. I was a mostly stay at home Mom for over 14 years with no college degree and no real skills.
Sink or Swim. How does one do that?
I asked for help! I had 2 women who came to my rescue. I had my family who showed their love and support and who never said, “I told you so.”
I hit the pavement applying for jobs. Used the library’s computer because I didn’t have money for internet service.
No one would hire me. Tanning salons, Macy’s, restaurants, etc. It was crazy!
Finally someone took a chance on me and I became a fitness manager at a small gym.
And that’s how my story unfolded.
And yep… I was angry and resentful for about 3 years. Angry at myself and my ex. I hated Boise.
But I also possessed an undeniable spirit of optimism mixed with rebelliousness. I wasn’t going to shrink and fade away. I think they call that
Without being knocked on my ass I wouldn’t have known the gifts I posses. I wouldn’t have become self employed, competed in body building shows, become a life coach and use my story to help others, fallen in love, and on and on.
Trust your story. Ask for help. Be rebellious enough to practice optimism and have faith that just maybe things are going to be better than you can imagine. Better than before.
There are new beginnings all around you.
You’ve got this 😺💪

It hurts. But that’s ok. I’m used to it.
This is not a martyr statement.
This is a RESILIENT and GRITTY statement. A powerful stance.
One built on the truth that change is painful. Growth is painful. But so is the lack thereof.
Growth requires stretch. It requires leaping into the unknown deciding everyday that you’re going to do something that is uncomfortable. To push and expand.
The gym constantly reminds me of those truths. Some would think I don’t dread it at times. That for people like me to working out is easy.
Nope! It’s a discipline. It still hurts. I get sore and tired. Most days I have to muster up the discipline to do the work.
So is living the life you want. It’s a lot of muster my friends. It’s keeping your long term goals in front of your short term satisfaction.
Confession.
I’m good at coasting. It’s cost me financial freedom and some relationships. I’m good at just getting by.
That’s easy. But incredibly unfulfilling. Especially when I know there is something bigger out there I’m meant to do.
Does this resonate? How many of you are tired or doing the same ol same ol? Tired of the same results but wishing for a larger life?
My Breaking your Barriers course is launching! Yay!
A 6 week group course starting Oct 20th. Ends before Thanksgiving.
Right in time for you to learn how to navigate the holiday madness and get an early start on your New Years goals.
Why wait until Jan 1? That’s just silly.
More to come. DM me to get on the list.
I’m so excited for this personal period of growth and stretch of mine in creating this course.
I hope you’re excited as well.
The time is now. Not next year. NOW.
