February and March have been a whirlwind for ECBH!
From buzzer-beaters and packed gyms in Lynnwood, to high-energy sessions lighting up Everett… We kept building new momentum in Redmond and Bellevue and had some unforgettable runs with our Edmonds Parks & Rec programs — the growth has been nonstop.
And we even took things beyond the buzz of the Emerald City, bringing the game to the sun-filled desert out in Tucson for an incredible Grow the Game Day with USABH.
Every stop, every session, and every player is all part of something bigger. We’re continuing to build toward our league launch later this year, and the energy across every program is showing just how special this community is becoming.
More players. More programs. More hockey.
Let’s keep it rolling.

⭐ Player of the Month: Grayson Serwold ⭐
Age 7 | 1st Grade | Sherwood Elementary
Meet Gray! A standout player in our Edmonds Parks & Rec program, he got into ball hockey after playing it in PE at school. What he loves most about the game is putting the ball in the net and taking shots against the goalie.
One of Gray’s favorite ECBH memories came in a big moment, when he scored to tie a game 2-2 and send the game to a shootout — a clutch play he’ll always remember. His favorite part of ECBH programs is jumping into scrimmages and playing alongside his friends.
Off the rink, Gray stays busy playing baseball, collecting sports cards, and going to hockey games. When he looks ahead to the future, he dreams of becoming a baseball or hockey player.
Keep up the great work, Grayson, your energy, confidence, and love for the game make you a well-deserved Player of the Month!

Coach Sal was back in Tucson helping run another awesome Grow the Game Day alongside USA Ball Hockey and Tucson Ball Hockey. It was an incredible event full of energy, new players trying out the game, and a shared mission of expanding ball hockey to more communities.
Events like this are what the game is all about — introducing new players, building connections, and continuing to push the sport forward.
Now we’re bringing that same energy back home. Our Seattle Grow the Game Day returns on July 18, and we’re hoping to make this year’s event even bigger and better than last year’s. Check out USA Ball Hockey for more details and come be part of the movement as we keep growing the game in the Pacific Northwest!
Massive thank you to Matt Streibich for catching all the looks!

Big news — we’ve added another school to the ECBH rotation! 🏒
We’re excited to officially welcome Chase Lake Elementary in Edmonds to the Emerald City Ball Hockey family. This new 6-week after-school program filled all 26 spots in just 48 hours, and we can’t wait to get started bringing fast-paced, high-energy ball hockey to a brand new group of students.
This program also marks the beginning of a new relationship supported by the Seattle Kraken’s One Roof Foundation, and we’re proud to continue growing the game alongside partners who believe in expanding access to hockey in our communities.
More schools, more programs, and more momentum as we build toward an exciting year ahead.

January was a whirlwind!
We kicked off 2026 with strong momentum, adding new programs, seeing sessions fill up fast, and continuing to build excitement for ball hockey across the community. Behind the scenes, we’re also laying the groundwork for our upcoming league later this year, taking big steps toward making that long-term goal a reality.
Thank you to all the players, families, and partners who helped make January such a great start!

Player of the Month: Nico Wanchoo
Age 10 | 4th Grade | Canyon Creek Elementary
Meet Nico! A strong and steady presence on defense, Nico first got into ball hockey when it was offered at his school and he’s been all in ever since. What he loves most about the game is the nonstop movement and the challenge of defending.
One of Nico’s favorite ECBH memories came in a clutch moment, when he buried a last-second goal to help his team and says it's a highlight he won’t forget anytime soon. His favorite part of ECBH programs is simple: lots of playing time and chances to stay involved.
Off the rink, you can catch Nico serving it up on the pickleball court or riding his bike, and when he looks ahead to the future, he dreams of becoming a firefighter one day.
Awesome work, Nico — your effort, hustle, and love for the game make you a well-deserved Player of the Month!
