About two years ago they won a Visa lottery and were able to immigrate to the U.S. from Eastern Europe. Since that time they’ve worked hard to save enough for a house. They spent months looking for and offering on homes to no avail before they were referred to me. I couldn’t be prouder to have helped them win after only a few weeks of searching. I wanted this so badly for them and put everything I had into cultivating the best possible offer for them, while keeping their risk low. I ❤️ my city. Today I got to preview a couple of listings on Queen Anne for an out-of-state client so I decided to take my older two boys along to make the most of it. We ate sushi between showings, stopped at Kerry Park to take in the view and went to their “favorite park in the whole entire world” the Seattle Center Playground. Oh, how I love that my job encourages discovery and re-discovery of our gorgeous city!

A few things:

1) If you live out of town, don’t be shy to reach out. I’m always more than happy to preview listings and video you in.

2) If you’re looking for a true local to help you with your search, you’ve found her 🙋🏻‍♀️. I’ve lived in Seattle for over 35 years (since I was 4!) and I know the neighborhoods block to block. In a nut-shell… I grew up in Ballard, moved to Kenmore in High School, went to UW, got my first apartment on Capitol Hill, lived on Mercer Island for a stint, married and bought our first house in West Seattle in 2008 and now live in house #4 in Kenmore. It’s been a wonderful (very local) journey.

The King County June statistics are in! We are still seeing a strong Seller’s market with 72% of homes going above list price. Biggest difference between May and June’s stats? The median home price which is now at $869,000. Up approximately $40,000 from a month ago. It will be interesting to see what the summer brings. What’s your prediction? A slight cooling or a continuation of this red hot pace?

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating the Fathers and Father Figures in your life! I want to take a moment to brag on this one right here.



THIS is the guy who holds down the fort while I’m at showings on a weekend or negotiating offers late at night. He is a true partner, and has given selflessly this year. He makes me a better Realtor every day with with his savvy Investor mind-set and in-tune scanning of the market. He is a touchstone when I’m in problem-solving mode, and an extension of my moral compass. He is an integral and behind-the-scenes part of Croasdale Homes and I am so grateful for him.
