Finally, a new state law is going to make it easier than ever for homeowners to choose artificial over real grass and enjoy the environmental and personal benefits of our Durafield Synthetic Lawns. House Bill 683 passed unanimously in Florida’s Legislative session this year and was signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis last month.
“It’s going to drive more business now that the city is not holding our hands”.
The law prohibits local governments from banning synthetic turf on single-family residential properties smaller than an acre. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will now set statewide standards for what’s allowed, considering factors like materials, permeability and storm water drainage.
Starting in July, local governments will no longer be able to enforce rules against synthetic turf that meets those state standards.
“Now we don’t have to fight with the cities. My clients don’t have to get fined”. “It’s their yard, so they should be able to do whatever they want.”
He dismissed environmental concerns from scientists over turf lawns, Synthetic Turf filters at the same rate as natural grass, has no environmental concerns, saves water and with our cooling technology reduces heat associated with Synthetic Grass.
