Hi everyone! It's been a little under a year since our last official race, and unfortunately the city has requested that we demolish the outdoor dirt oval track since it is no longer in use/being maintained. DJ has volunteered to try to get the track in runnable condition one last time so we are inviting everyone out to a "run what you brung" afternoon of RC fun, this coming Sunday (August 9th) at RC Sports in Seymour. This is an outdoor only event on the dirt oval located behind Cellcom. Meet at noon for food and prep, and we will plan on doing some fun races at 1pm. When done (probably around 4pm) we will be "striking the set," dismantling and leveling the track and saying goodbye to the dirt oval per the city request. We would really appreciate some help with this if anyone can land a hand. The railroad ties and track pipe will be available to take if anyone wants it for a track of their own (unless the original donors want it back). Hope to see some familiar faces out there - if you've got a free afternoon and some dirt cars sitting around, bring em on out one last time :-)
