You might not need to start over.
You might just need to realize how freaking valuable the skills you already have actually are.
Teachers. Nurses. SLPs. OTs. PTs. Social workers:
You already know how to educate people, solve problems, build trust, create individualized plans and support someone through actually following them.
And those skills translate REALLY freaking well to pediatric sleep consulting.
Which matters if you’ve been sitting at your current job thinking:
“I know I don’t want to do this forever…but what the hello ELSE would I even do?”
Because I don’t think most women want to stop working.
They want to make good money.
They want to use their brain.
They want to help people.
They want something they can be really freaking good at.
They just want more ownership over when, where and how they work.
And sometimes the answer isn’t another version of the career you already have.
It’s discovering an entirely different career you didn’t know existed.
That was sleep consulting for me.
And after 5 years in this industry and 600+ women coming through our certification, I’ve seen just how beautifully the skills from these professions can translate into this work.
So no, you’re not necessarily starting from scratch.
You might just need a different way to use what you’re already damn good at.
If you’re thinking “Okay, but what the heck does a sleep consultant actually DO?”
