A night of celebration at Silver Lake.

Coach Sarah Johnson earned her 600th career win, while seniors Jaylie Whitehead and Kylie Hanni celebrated milestones in front of the Senior Night crowd.

Whitehead reached 1,500 career digs on September 30. Before last night, she had 1,573 career digs and 152 aces.

Hanni surpassed 3,000 career assists that same night. Before last night, she had 3,259 assists and 642 digs. Hanni already holds Silver Lake’s single-season assist record with 1,181 and is chasing the Kansas career record of 4,216, held by Silver Lake’s Taylor White.

Every week I look forward to celebrating the hustle plays of Silver Lake athletes but this week means a little more to me.

Jake is the first athlete I worked with when I started Set Point Mental Edge. I’ve had a front row seat to watching his journey the last couple years and it’s incredibly rewarding to see his hard work and dedication on and off the field pay off.

Always proud of you Jake! Keep working hard!

When I first started Set Point Mental Edge, there were three families that took a chance on me to help their kids build their confidence, improve their mindset, and overcome challenges.

Mak and Ky are two of those three. MaKayla is an incredible athlete and an even better person. She has always been so receptive of the things we talk about in our sessions and does a great job of coming out on top of whatever situation life throws at her.

Ky is one of a kind. He’s incredibly caring and works his butt off for the things he wants. He may be young, but he’s taking the steps necessary to put himself in the best position possible mentally when he grows up.

I will ALWAYS be thankful for those people that started with me on this path I’m on. I take pride in knowing they will be with me every step of the way. I know the journey isn’t always easy but these two stay the course and Embrace The Process like true Set Point Athletes. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the athletes I work with be successful on and off the court/field.

Keep working you two! I couldn’t be more proud of you if I tried!

Love seeing some familiar faces pop up on my feed! Jaylie and Kylie are incredibly gifted athletes who have worked incredibly hard to reach their level of success. Not only do they physically put the work in on the court, they also put the work in mentally off the court. Both are great representations of what it means to be a Set Point Athlete.

Congrats on the milestones you two!
