We had a successful day today.

Jason Fredericks battled through bracketing errors, four overtimes in his first fight, and five overtimes in the finals match to take gold. In this camp, we made key adjustments to Jason's game, which led to an *immediate* and dramatic improvement.

Gerardo entered the pro bracket for the first time. This bracket featured a mix of professional athletes and up-and-comers, fighting for a $2,000 cash prize. He placed fourth ahead of purple, brown, and black belts. This is an outstanding achievement and an excellent first showing, as Gerardo is still ranked at blue.

Micah went out on his shield; he took a risk, bumped up in age and weight moving to the blue belt, adult 170 bracket. While his risk didn't pay off today, he's made key adjustments; he has a clear understanding of the work that needs to be done if he's going to continue moving up in age and weight.

Our athletes continue to surprise us with the challenges they're willing to take on. They consistently take the hard path, and it's a big part of why they continue to improve so quickly.

We're proud of you boys!

Congratulations to Maggie on earning 1st- and 2nd-place finishes at Naga! She had a strong performance, winning in dominant fashion as she worked to polish key aspects of her game.

A big congratulations also goes to Jason, who finished 4th after battling through a competitive bracket. He showed significant gains in his defensive wrestling, and he was never submitted in any of his matches.

We're very proud of you both!

The work continues.

Today was a big step forward.

Congrats to Jason Fredericks on Gold. This is a huge step forward, and we're so proud of you all.

Congrats to Maggie Maag on silver at your IBJJF debut. You made very big improvements, and it shows. Your timing, pacing, control, and mechanics all showed significant growth!

Gerardo Ibarra, both of your brackets were uphill battles. You stayed in the fight against a D1 wrestler with an 113-0 record, and you went out on your shield. We're proud of the way you carry yourself, and we're looking forward to your rematch. Let's get ready.

, your debut was hard-fought; you did so many things well--consistently re-guarding during scrambles, entering the legs consistently, repeatedly escaping pins and fighting out of deep submissions.

Hard fought everyone! On to the next!

Thanks for an incredible seminar Gordon Ryan. Looking forward to the HG 2.0.

We're proud to promote Isaiah to blue belt. He has been a consistent and reliable training partner. He's disciplined, always working to improve-even when circumstances make that difficult.

Since he started training with us, he's improved significantly. It's been a pleasure training and growing with him.

We're so proud of you!

These three men have made significant progress in a short period of time. All three of them have shown persistence, grit, and determination.

They've worked (carefully) through injury, processed failure, and discouragement. All three dealt with *severe* emotional upheaval in the last year. They continue to move forward despite what they've been through.

We're proud of you!

Shout out to our largest competition team yet at Grappling Industries this past weekend! Proud of our team and competitors.

It was a well-fought day with 16 total matches for our competitors. Our team saw 4 submission finishes, 2 match wins on points, and 1 refs' decision.

We finished with 2 silver medals, 1 fourth place in a deep bracket, and 2 withdrawals due to injury.

Fight of the night goes to Micah, who secured a down-on-points submission finish with 39 seconds left on the clock.

The team comes home with more experience, lessons learned, and victories to celebrate.

We are proud of our competition team and thankful for everyone who came out to support us! On to the next!
