Meet Tygh. 💙
Tygh DeRossett is 9 years old, and his story is a powerful example of why newborn screening matters. Because Tygh was born in Kentucky - one of the early states to screen newborns for Krabbe disease - he was diagnosed shortly after birth and able to receive treatment. Today, Tygh’s family is sharing his story to raise awareness and help create a better future for others. While treatment has given Tygh a chance at life, it is not a cure - which is why continued awareness, research, and support for families affected by Krabbe disease are so important.
We’re proud to welcome Tygh’s Strides to to Shepherdsville City Park on Saturday, September 26!
Come run, walk, or simply show up in support of Tygh and the many families navigating Krabbe disease. Every registration, every step, and every person who attends helps raise awareness, support families, and move the community closer to better treatments - and ultimately, a cure. There will be local vendors, incredible raffle prizes (raffle tickets available at the event for $10 per sheet), and plenty of fun along the way!
