Some shots from a nice weekend excursion by a few of our Fly Shop of the Bighorns boys, Jack, Henry and Charlie, up Rock Creek and Ginger's Meadow.
Colorful Brookies, dead heads and generally very spooky fish up this side of the Bighorns, conducive for beetles, chubbys, and otherwise surgical casting.
It's a great start to September this end, getting excited for Fall and beyond as we cool down.
We're happy to point you in the right direction for whatever goals you might have this month fly-fishing wise and everything else. See you at the Fly Shop!

Great day of breaking clays at Clear Creek Hunting with some of Rock Creek Angler's and Rock Creek Shooting's finest!
The fly fishing to clay shooting pipeline is extremely strong with this crew. Serious talent in the axe throwing department too.
And congrats to Harrison Cummings for winning most mediocre shooter during the day.
Happy Tuesday. See you at the Fly Shop!

The Roadless Rule has effectively protected and managed public lands for over two decades.
Roadless areas protect some of the last intact trout and salmon habitat in the country. The USDA just released its plan to eliminate those protections nationwide.
The public comment period is now open through September 21st.
Submit your comment today and urge USDA to keep strong protections in place for roadless areas: https://bit.ly/3Si2MVE
Adding a personal note about why these public lands matter to you makes a real difference.

Whenever we get some ridiculous designs in the shop, we simply must shout them out.
In this case, we have some brand new Howler Brothers pieces that are versatile and look way too good.
Signature embroidery sets these apart from other button-down varieties, with a design/pattern to capture whatever disposition you wish to convey.
Perfect for a lengthy session at The Mint Bar, or the North Fork of the Tongue River, or both, in whatever order. Best paired with a shop hat.
As well as everything fly fishing, we are proud to carry versatile items for other recreation.
Happy Thursday!

The Bighorns are still fishing in a stellar way into mid-August.
Some scenes from Shell Canyon, featuring our amazing shop guy Sam, and some really awesome new lids, packs, and more we are very excited about.
Thank you to everyone that has been coming in either to replace net baskets, get some flies picked out, and otherwise enjoy a browsing b**r and catch up.
In addition, we have been thrilled as of late to ship hats and otherwise to anglers across the country that want to secure an iconic and distinctive design. (We love our hat press.) DM us for more info!!
Stay tuned for more of the brands that you love, and captures of our amazing scenery.
Cheers to you!

August is right around the corner. We still have several dates available for trips of all types; including Half-Days, All-Days, Float trips, and even casting lessons.
Summer is still going strong in the Bighorns and the water ways we are grateful to be able to fish, and are excited to educate, explore, and otherwise create awesome anglers and memories as we get closer to the Fall.
Stop by or give us a ring, we're happy to make it happen and have conversations regarding all things fly fishing!
