Nice civilian sack coat. I bought this used and can't tell you the name of the maker, but it is a good one. I'm not good at fabrics but I think this might be a satinette? No interior pocket but one outside chest pocket. Size 48 or so. Sleeves are about 30". Does have some signs of use but I did use it after all. Very nice coat - would be great for the upcoming Lexington, MO event if someone needs a good coat for a Missouri State Guard impression.

Need some socks? These are used and I admit they need a washing. They've been aired out but some gentle washing and air drying would do them god. Still have bits of stuff stuck in the threads and there are a few small hole and areas that may be thinning a bit. But, all in all, they are still sound. I got these from South Union Mills some years back. They're about $55 a pair now. Anyway, you can have both pairs for $25 which includes the shipping.

Here's a little personal reenacting history just for the heck of it. Robert Serio of Missouri Boot and Shoe fame is the fellow that got me into the hobby. We met when we were both in Little Rock. He helped me make this kepi - my first real piece of uniform. It's of blue Melton wool and served me well for quite some time. I keep it around just for the memories. My first reenactment was Prairie Grove, Arkansa; 1978 I think. My second, where I wore this for the first time, was Mansfield, Louisiana. I was part of the old Confederate Guard.

I used to make this stamp available to folks when I would set up at an event and let them stamp their gum blanket for free.

Well, I don't need this anymore, so if someone wants to carry out gum blanket stamping duties, here you go.

I'll even throw in the ink pad with red and black pads, and some ink.

I'd like to thank all those that have chose to follow this page. I hope it will be worth your time to visit - I'll try to make it so. It's over 500 folks now which is great. The original page that was shut down by the powers that be had well over 2000 folks keeping an eye on it. Well, this is a great start to match or beat those numbers.

I enjoy sharing all this stuff with folks. Comes from being a teacher in some form or another most of my life I suppose. Plus, if it leads to some business, so much the better.

And here's a model 1842 French sword bayonet made in 1864. Man, I've got stuffed squirreled away everywhere. It would make for a great scavenger hunt.
