"BE UNBREAKABLE"
Since September 2023's Seattle Spartan Super (10k) I "committed" to making the winter my "in-season" for Spartan races with the goal to make noticeable progress each race.
I did 6 races (appr 1/month) and hoping to kick off again with Hawaii in August and Seattle in September. I reached my intro goal, though, if life allows, I don't want to stop there, and the work (that I enjoy) continues.
I recently realized Spartan has a motto, "BE UNBREAKABLE," written on each shirt and medal received. I reached the goal I had for this intro season, however, interestingly and definitely not short of "set backs" in the form of injuries (a.k.a the body breaking down) and unique obstacles which I'll resist sharing.
If determined to keep going, we can be resilient to find a way to keep moving forward and "build up" the "unbreakable" versions of ourselves. I know each and every one of us all face setbacks along our way towards something good, but let me say, whatever it is you're working towards, "don't stop" and be ready to use each "setback" when "they" come to build your "UNBREAKABLE YOU."
*Also gotta thank the leadership and team for making the schedule work for my weekend Spartan races since I started and the morale boosts to keep going. Personally enjoying utilizing the excellent supplements SN offers to help build my best "unbreakable" self.
"Don't Stop."
Last September, at a Seattle Spartan race with my bro and sis-n-law, gave me a wristband that said "Don't Stop." she passed along from her work
Since then I've been looking at "it" as a constant reminder when "the work" and "things" just get hard to keep going... "don't stop." We've all been there.
Once we've found out what we need to "commit" to, "don't stop" and no turning back. Keep going towards what that important "thing" is for you. Find ways to keep "the work" going. And no matter what the outcome, you win, as you have become better, so keep going. "Don't stop".
Working towards whatever's good takes time for the "set up" and that's where we must have the "perseverance" to keep going. "Don't stop" doing "the work" and "don't stop" moving towards the right and best things you know you need to continue moving towards to get where you are going.
