ANNOUNCEMENT RE: Our event this Saturday

At its heart, the Gay Softball World Series is a platform to come together in common purpose and lift up LGBTQIA+ communities. In keeping with that commitment, GSWS Columbus 2026 will donate a portion of proceeds from our fundraising event Saturday, May 30, to benefit Brent Rayburn-Velco’s recovery fund. As many now know, Brent lost his husband, Mark, in a heinous attack this past weekend, and Brent himself is facing a long, difficult road to recovery.

Columbus rallies around our own. It’s who we are. So if you can, please join us this Saturday, May 30, at District West as we give back, celebrate incredible artists, and showcase what Columbus is all about.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Beau McGregor will be leading the way as the Grand Marshal for this year's Sioux Falls Pride Parade!

From building inclusive spaces through music and sports to supporting the growth of our youngest learners, Beau embodies the spirit of pride, advocacy, and community.

✨ Meet Beau McGregor ✨
Beau is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Rainbow Chorus of Sioux Falls, an organization dedicated to building an inclusive community and advancing LGBTQIA2S+ activism, education, and personal growth through music. Through concerts, outreach events, collaborations, and community engagement, the chorus strives to create a future where everyone is empowered to live proudly as their authentic selves. Beau’s passion for music, advocacy, and community-building has helped foster a welcoming environment where members not only share their voices through song, but also build lifelong friendships and support systems.

Outside of the arts, Beau is also active in the Sioux Empire Sports Association, helping foster inclusive recreational spaces and meaningful community connections through sports.

Professionally, Beau serves as the Pyramid Model Implementation Specialist for the Sioux Falls School District’s early childhood program, where he supports teachers and classrooms in building strong social-emotional foundations for young learners. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education and is deeply committed to creating nurturing, inclusive environments for children and families.
