I'm in the process of putting things together for another kids ice fishing tournament. It will be for the 2020 hardwater season. Just touching base with people to see how much interest there will be in it.

Just to be clear. Tournament date is locked in and set in stone for Saturday January 28th 2017. With the weather the way it was we didn't feel comfortable having the tournament on the original date. Our main concern is safety of the kids and people attending. Flyers are being finalized as we speak. Still at Scott's Slough. Get ahold of John Oyen or Jeremy Gross with any questions.

So John Oyen and myself had a very beneficial meeting tonight with KKIDS and WILD DAKOTA OUTDOORS TELEVISION. Want to thank Jeff Boer Travis Lee Wilebski Lisa Wicks and Jasmine Huyck.

We discussed a lot of ideas and thoughts about the kids ice fishing tournament as well as many other outdoor kids activities. With that being said. John Oyen as well as my self have decided to start our own KKIDS chapter in McCook County.

We decided it was in our best interest to partner up with them to make this move. We will also be trying to host other activities for the kids. We are looking at setting up a youth trap shoot next fall. As well a summer fishing tournament for the kids. We will be creating our own Facebook chapter page. Please stay tuned for further information as the time comes.

We are also looking into having Tshirts made we will have all of our sponsors listed on the shirts. We will also be looking into having brochures made. We are taking this one step at a time. But are looking forward to a very successful kids tournament 3 years in a row.

I personally want to thank everyone that has been involved or helped out along the way. We couldn't do this and be successful if it wasn't for you.

If you haven't been here I'd highly recommend them. Brandon Lambert is a stand up guy. He is catering the kids ice fishing tournament. He is catering the event and will be able to feed 300 people. Pulled pork beans and chips will be served at the kids fishing tournament. So stop in and thank everyone at ROWDY HOGG SMOKIN BBQ

Registration will start Monday. Working on the flyer. Entry fee will be $15 this year. All entry fee money will be going towards additional prizes and costs for the tournament. Registration closes Friday December 23rd
